great place to stay
The staff at the hotel are friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. Room was spacious and there was a small fridge for use. Best part of the room was that it had a massage chair and a big screen LCD TV. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

There is a small wine/cigar shop on main street along the water. The owner is super friendly and very knowledgeable about wines, cigars and everything in town. I would strongly recommend say "hello", but he'll probably strike up an conversation beforehand.

Couple Get away
This hotel was pretty central to everything you would want to see in Portland/South Portland. They don't allow pets which was a selling point for us as we have pet allergies, but the hallways & elevator had a not so pleasant odor. The room, however, was fairly clean. It looks like they get a lot of out of town workers that book at this hotel. The massage chair in the room was awesome. If you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere, but this was a decent motel for a decent price.

Convenient Location/Reasonable Rates
Great location set just off RT 95 in south portland. Pleasant staff that is more than willing to provide information and directions to local points of interest. Clean rooms and a FREE FULL Breakfast provided right next door to the hotel. I would absolutely stay there again for a night or an extended stay.

Nice stay
The room was clean and comfortable. Though it wasn't large it was fine for the two of us. We had a king size bed, small fridge and microwave, coffee maker, lovely shower, even a massage chair. The adequate fitness room was around the corner. I never saw the pool though we did eat breakfast at the attached Governors Restaurant where I would stick to the French Toast (homemade bread) and really good muffins. A limited breakfast menu is complimentary. Good value, I would stay again.

Quick Overnight
Went for a quick trip for shopping with daughter. Room was clean and bed comfie. Loved the hot tub and outdoor pool. Enjoyed it even in March! Also appreciated the breakfast vouchers. Have stayed here before and will again.

Good for the money
I was only there for two nights, but everything I needed was there. The best value was the full breakfast each morning at Governor's, which is attached to the hotel. Only 10-15 minutes from: the Maine Mall, downtown Portland, and the coast of South Portland. Really close to the highway, so longer trips are a snap. It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room to keep drinks cold, but other than that, it was great.

Search the internet to find places to eat in South Portland, otherwise, you'll think the only places to eat are in Portland. Joe's Boathouse is right on the water, while Thornton's Bar and Grille was also great, right on Broadway. Also, there are a number of restaurants near the Maine Mall, if you don't mind going to a chain restaurant (Uno's, On the Border, Bugaboo Creek, Longhorn Steakhouse, etc).
