Staff needs training
When the gentlemen at the checkin desk realized that I made my reservations through Orbitz he was not very nice actually he was rude. I had requested a non smoking room when I made my reservations and when I was checking in I had also recomfirmed my non smoking room and when I got to my room it was a smoking room. The couch must have been burnt up by a previous guest because the cushions did not match the couch and were so thin that you were sitting on the pull out bed frame. and the arm of the couch had a huge hole where it must have been burnt by the fire. Extremely disappointed by the way I was treated when they realized i made my reservations through orbitz and not through the hotel and by the condition of the room

GREAT PLACE TO STAY IN SOUTHERN MAINE
i stay here with my kids at least twice a year for 2-3 nights each time while visiting family in the area. The hotel staff is outstanding! They are always cheerful, helpful and eager to please. VERY hospitable! The rooms are clean and the beds and bedding are sooooo comfortable. Saco is well situated with easy access to Portland and to the beautiful beaches and coastline of Maine. I have stayed in other Hampton Inns and I have never been disappointed, and this one in Saco is a shining example.

Great family weekend
I thought this hotel was great! Although it is not right on the beach, it is a 5 minute drive to it and about three minutes from restaurants ect. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. My only complaint was that the hotel was full due to Labor Day weekend and the staff was not prepared during the continental breakfast. We took a tip from that staff for a good restaurant for breakfast and went out instead. I would definitely stay here again.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Rosalina's is great for breakfast...served until one. We ate breakfast there twice. The restaurant next to Rosalina's (Irish and seafood, family) the hotel staff suggested was absolutely horrible. They couldn't even make a salad right. Do not eat there, you will be dissapointed.

Excellent!
Very nice hotel. Dog friendly and super clean room! Liked the late checkout (12pm) and although check-in isn't until 3pm, we called ahead and were able to check in at 11:30am! Big rooms, decent cable, beds are comfy, small couch in room. Plenty of woods for the pooch to do her business, but close to highway for easy access. Next time we're in this area, we wouldn't get a hotel anywhere else.

weekend business trip
a short business-necessary trip that included a saturday work day. weather was awful; so, it was nice to have the consistency of the hotel a "trust" factor. i "knew" that i would have a decent room upon arrival.

Clean, comfortable, and convenient
We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel staff was polite and professional. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. I've stayed in many hotel rooms that were not very clean or comfortable but the Hampton was both very clean and very comfortable. Although we only stayed 1 night, we would definately stay there again

HAIR EVERYWHERE
I was there for business, & to visit friends, I was there for 9 days. Would have like, a little microwave, frezzer for someone staying longer than 5 days. The maids cleaning the rooms?? letting the doors slam as they go from room too room after customers have left. I frist arrived pull my covers back & HAIR in the bed, looked like they hadn't been changed. The Bathtub and sink, HAIR. I went to the manager, and got new sheets and put them on myself. Then I went too the store and brought a can of Lysol.

Stay
The aonly thing that we did not like was that they recommended a restruant that was terrible. It was the number one suggestion. The place was not right on the water as promised and the food was terrible.

Good, but too far from my destination
Very friendly staff. I would have preferred it [...] had shown all the Hampton Inns (not just the ones they could give me a deal at) close to my destination.

Short drive from hotel
Always visit the beach when you are this close. Maine beaches are spectacular...even in Spring!
