Close to airport

My husband and I stayed at the Embassy Suites while traveling to a wedding in Portland. The hotel is very close to the airport and just a quick cab ride away from downtown Portland. The staff was very friendly. We arrived too late for the "manager's reception", but enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning.

Great Hotel, bad bed

Very convenient to the Portland Airport. Great manager's cocktail party. Great breakfast selections. My bed was uncomfortable, tossed and turned all night. The suite was clean with plenty of towels and amenities. My daughter used the pool and enjoyed it.

ehh...not that great

Best things about the hotel: Staff. They were very friendly...although we had to ask for toilet paper multiple times. The breakfast was actually not bad and that goes for the manager's reception in the evening. No noise from the airport next door. Cons: The air conditioner was too loud...could hardly sleep with it on Did not think the pool water was as clean as it should be... Biggest CON: dogs are 50$ fee... It does not say on the website... or if it does they must hide it because I only say the pets allowed ....Should say pets allowed with 50$fee!!

Perfect for what we needed

Food and service were excellent. My only criticism would be the room ammenities. As 2 women we would have appreciated some kind of make-up mirror and a decent hair dryer. Also, a door between the bathroom and bedroom would have been a good idea. If someone is in the bathroom with light on it shines on the beds. The daily clean up was good but the staff forgot to replace the toilitries we used the day before. We had to find some. They also skipped us one day. Something about problems on another floor. They showed up at 4pm when we had just returned from a day out. They gave us supplies and left. We didn't need beds done at that hour.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Wear comfortable shoes. Lots of hilly streets. We were there to visit friends so we can't offer any tips on trips. We had our own tour guide.

Last minute Family long weekend vacation

the locations good if you needed the airport. Far from town but close to highway. Good for pets though it $50 for pets. It clean and room was a little small for a family of five and a dog. Pool was very cold. Fitness center was a nice plus. Get to the breakfast early the breakfast area was small and got crowed fast. The omelets were Exelent. The staff was very nice helpful. At 4:30 they had free snacks and drinks it was nice. It was a good for a last minute trip and options were very limited with a pet I would recoment this hotel.

Great Time Great Service

Everything was wonderful. the staff and accommodations were great. My family was comfortable. We spent a majority of our time at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We loved the manager meet and greet with free cocktails and snacks . Swimming at 11:00PM was a luxury. Everything was glistening clean. Thank you Embassy Suites!!

great value/great location

We were in portland to visit our teenaged son. The two rooms separated by a door worked wonderfully. It gave everyone privacy. The location was great, close to everything we wanted to see and do. We especially liked the free full breakfast. made to order omelets and waffles as well as cereal and the usual fare. The wait staff was friendly and so helpful.
