Horror!!!

We booked a cottage. They gave us the key, but we didn't need a key because the cottage doors were wide open when we arrived. Come to find out, they were wide open to help detract from the stench that was inside. Lots of bugs, dirt, grime, no curtain on the bathroom window so the 2nd floor of the hotel could see right in to the toilet and shower, rotten food left in fridge, wouldn't even sit on the soiled couch. It was terrible. The clerk in the office gave me the key to another cottage, which again was wide open, no curtain on the bedroom window, equally smelly and soiled. Clerk took me to hotel "suite", which had no A/C in the bedroom, was almost acceptable except for the pile of white hairs on the blue bedspread. When I sent an E-mail to the owner, of course I got not respose. I lost my full deposit, too, because we refused to stay in squallor!

Worst Hotel We've Ever Seen

We were shocked and left to find another hotel. The room smelled foul. The towels were used, soap used, curtains torn. I don't think we would have stayed if it was the last room in town. And the office was closed when we arrived at 5:00 PM.

Old, rickety, piece of junk

A very old hotel, had one broken bed. Reached at 9pm and had no one around to fix the bed. Rail tracks run behind the building and the entire building shakes, we were on the third floor, felt like a 6.0 earthquake!I would strongly recommend spending a little more on the car and staying the night in it, rather than this place. It was dirty, mouldy and there were druggies knocking on our door at 1 in the morning!Strongly recommend folks to never go to this place![...]

alright for the price

Overall my experience was as expected. I was only there for one night, basically to sleep. The area was beautiful, but don't go there after season if you want the stores a restaurants to be open. There was no coffee in the room, that is my biggest complaint, the coffee maker was there as a tease, i guess.

The good, the bad, and the really ugly

Could hear the people walking in the room above ours, the toilet had problems flushing, had to jiggle the handle just to be able to flush.

Not Too Hot

Not much here, a 19" TV with no remote! Cigarette burns in one of the blankets raised our eyebrows too. Was awoken at night with a baby crying in the next room - the walls are thin! Better to stay down the street at one of the nicer hotels in the area.
