The Admirals Inn is located on just under three acres of landscaped grounds surrounded by towering pines on coastal Rt.1. We are 400 yards South of the center of the village center. Ogunquit is unique to Maine's southern coast in that it exhibits both the small town charm for which New England is famous and a bustling, vibrant nightlife. The Admirals Inn features 24 front desk service. The Admiral's Inn Lounge serves great Pub fare from 5:00 PM until midnight (seasonal). Featuring two heated pools (seasonal), two hot tubs, a fire pit, picnic areas and full service lounge the Admirals Inn is unique in that it provides for three distinctly differing styles of lodging. Guests staying in the original Admirals Inn building, a newly renovated 1890s Victorian, can expect the warm cozy personalized experience that traditional Bed and Breakfast cliental has come to enjoy. Guests who prefer a more self sufficient style of accommodations may choose to stay in hotel's newly constructed 28 room hotel building and enjoy all the in-room comforts and amenities one would expect from a higher end hotel. Lastly, with hotel's recent purchase of the adjoining building the former -White Rose Inn- hotel's guests have a choice that offers all the conveniences of modern construction with the style, character, romance and charm of a traditional Inn. The center of Ogunquit Village has lots of shopping, restaurants, and all of the nightlife. The 3 mile long white sanded Ogunquit Beach is just a few minutes stroll from the Admiral's Inn. Easy place to find, and the stay was comfortable.

The front desk staff was great they assisted us with several things. The room was nice, basic, clean. The bathroom fans leave something to be desired. They had access to internet which is a nice feature to have away from home. The continental breakfast was a little too basic , but excellent coffee.

What a treat!!! Great location, staff. Very clean

We just spent the weekend at the Admiral's Inn and what fun! We had drinks by the firepit and then went into the lounge where the playhouse (and Sally Struthers!) we having a party. It was great fun. The rooms were really spacious. The amenities were great - we used the sauna and 2 toasty warm pools. The place was full but a lot of times it felt like we were all alone! The cleaning staff was very friendly and great!

Don't Stay At Admiral's Inn in Oginquit!

The room had no telephone, a dirty refrigerator, the bathroom was filthy and the room looked like a 70's dorm. View of parking lot, ocean not to be seen and bed was a lump. Staff not helpful, indeed rude.

Pleasant family getaway

We had a pleasant experience at the Admiral. My only criticism would be the continental breakfast which conisisted of coffee, two juices and a choice of two different coffee cakes. Generally, a continental breakfast includes cereal, waffles, English muffin, yogart and fruit. The facility is near the beaches which ensures you get exercise by walking about a half mile which was great for my family. The staff allowed us to leave a car in their parking lot after we checked out to avoid a downtown parking fee. I thought that was very accommodating. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

Admirals Inn

Location: Great. Everything was within walking distance. Staff: Friendly and helpful. Room: The room was big, clean and attractive (new building). Pool: The pool and the whirlpool could have been cleaner (this prevented me from giving a 5 rating). Wireless: Worked well and was free. Breakfast: Good coffee and muffins. Lounge / Restaurant: Didn't get a chance to use this area but, it looked very nice. Misc: There are wagons available to haul your stuff to the beach. Summary: I would stay here again on future visits. Thanks for a nice stay!

"Fantastic family getaway"

The hotel and the surrounding area such as the pool and parking area are okay. The beds were lumpy, and soft. This is definitely a 2-3 star hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, however, some of the housekeeping staff left a lot to be desired in their cleaning of the room. They do not seem to vacuum or dust on a daily basis so if you have bad allergies be aware. Our stay consisted mostly of enjoying the surrounding towns, the Lighthouse Cruise, Jack Winn's Museam, and Perkins Cove, The Maine Diner (EXCELLENT!), Barnacle Billy's, The Fried Clam Shanty (EXCELLENT!), Julie's (Italian Food - Very Good), Sundaes On The Beach Homemade Ice Cream (EXCELLENT!).

Great location, clean, wonderful staff..

When we checked in we were greated by a really friendly staff that took the time to show us how close we were to all of the fun stuff in Ogunquit. The room was spacious and cleaned. We spent a lot of time in the lounge, pools areas, and fire pit and found helpful staff everywhere. Seems like they get that great customer service means my family and I are going back.

excellent location!

We have been to Ogunquit many times and stayed in a variety of accommodations. We made our reservation last minute and the hotel was very accomodating. The room was very clean and comfortable given the affordable rate. The location was minutes (walking) from the beach as well as the center of town. The proximity of the hotel to the main attactions of the town relieved so much stress knowing that driving and parking especially was not necessary.

The beach is fantastic but its important to get to there early enough to get a prime spot. At high tide the water comes in to the point that almost all the sand is covered.
