peaceful getaway

Close to Old Port at Portland and the outlets at Freeport but far enough away from the traffic and noise to be peaceful and ... relaxing. Great breakfast buffet!

I expected the "suite" to be separated more. Basically a long room, with 2 queen beds, then a sleeper sofa. Great proximity ... to Freeport shops, nice breakfast area.

Buck's Naked BBQ was an excellent place to take the kids. Our 3 and 6 year old boys were not the loudest, as there are 2 great playhouses there, and the kids can be kids. Quick service, and the best BBQ I have ever had.

Buck's Naked BBQ was an excellent place to take the kids. Our 3 and 6 year old boys were not the loudest, as there are 2 great playhouses there, and the kids can be kids. Quick service, and the best BBQ I have ever had.

A comfortable experience

We needed to spend one night in Freeport before a weekend biking adventure. We were looking for a place that was clean, ... comfortable and convenient. The Holiday Inn Express met all of that criteria. It also served a decent breakfast. All in all it was a good value and I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing to stay in the Freeport area.

Excellent location for shopping in Freeport. Room was clean and good size. Location of hotel was right next to a busy ... highway which resulted in a lot of traffic noise when trying to sleep. Continental breakfast was nothing special and had very limited seating for hotel guests. Beds were very comfortable with good pillows.

Visit LL Bean outlet store early in the day. It is restocked and organized at the end of each day. You will have a better choice and find sizes more easily.

I believe this hotel is only a couple of years old, and it shows. My room was as close to perfect as possible. The bathroom ... was spotless and extremely well appointed, from the curved shower rod to the extremely well lit and expansive vanity. The beds had very firm and comfortable mattresses with a variety of pillows from firm to soft. It's in a great location, convenient to shopping of all kinds, yet quiet and restful. I'd recommend it to any traveler in a heartbeat.
