Great Mom and Pop Motel
We stayed here on our way to the National Park. The room had plenty of space, the king bed was comfortable, and the room was fixed up nicely and clean. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Good value for the area. Would stay here again.

Bed bug bites all over
My friend and me stayed here two nights in October 2011 and got bed bug bites all over. The motel manager denied everything and claimed he is not responsible for any damages. Stay away if you do not like bed bugs.

Rest and relaxation in Maine
We cleared the Canadian/US border late in the evening and called the hotelier to advise our late arrival (11pm). He graciously taped our key and room # on the door of the office so we need not disturb him on our late arrival. Key and directions to the room were right there on the door. Room was prepared for our arrival and in the morning had a great conversation and advice from the owner. The office/breakfast room/gift shop were, in our opinion, extremely well devised and the gifts were of a very intelligent nature (cool, out of the ordinary puzzles, pottery, cards, etc). Nice place to stay that one might not choose but for the trip advisor reviews about the host. He was grand and the hotel very nice.

Nice place. Nice people.
Immaculately clean room. Lovely breakfast room and a large patio. Nice continental breakfast. Very friendly staff who made an excellent recommendation for a place to have dinner. Listen to the owner when he says that your Tom Tom misdirects you. (Our Garmin worked fine.)

almost perfect
Hotel is very clean and the grounds are beautiful. There were a few things that could have been better but for the rate it exceeded our expectations. (shower temperature fluctuates and water pressure in shower is not great) Continental breakfast is simple but worked - cereal, toast, muffins/pastries, coffee/tea/juice, apple sauce, fruit. If you are heading to Acadia National Park and don't mind being 20 miles away then this is a great place to stay. Hint - ask for a room in the back - they are a little larger and slightly further from the road. Since the motel is directly on Routes 1 & 3 it can be a bit noisy from the traffic -- but if you keep the A/C on then you will not hear any of the traffic.

clean and comfortable
The accommodation was perfect - we had a de-lux queen room.It was light, airy, and plenty of room. .the bed was extremely comfortable, and the table and chairs made computer work very easy.I couldn't fault the cleanliness, or decor. Breakfast was simple continental, but quite adequate, and very enjoyable as we were able to sit outside on the porch. The owners were very helpful with tour suggestions and restaurant recommendations. We stayed an extra 3 days.

cozy life in twilite
We are travelling to Acadia and spent one night in twilite. The motel is very clean and old-fashioned. But you can get all the things you need and the bed is very comfortable. The decoration is pretty nice. The location is a little bit off the main road of Ellsworth but very convenient and quite at night so that you can have a good sleep. It's just besides the road so it's easy to find. It's among the best motel I have ever lived!

Simple and Clean
We were staying in Ellsworth because we wanted to be near Acadia, although in the off-season, there are slim pickings on the island. We had a friendly welcome and a great rate. The room was pre-heated before we arrived. It was clean and neat. It wasn't the Ritz, but if you don't need that (who really does?), then it's perfect. It's close to the main part of Ellsworth where there is plenty to eat. I would definitely return.

Friendly owner, a place to crash
The hotel owner [...] was very friendly and helpful with local information. The room was simple but adequate. There was some traffic noise from Route 3 and we are very light sleepers so we didn't have sound sleep.

Not Applicable
Between Elsworth and Trenton, closer to Trenton, there's a place that serves lobster rolls and crab rolls. I'm a crab lover. The owner piles a big pile of crab on a toasted roll and nothing else. It's so sweet and pure. I don't know the name of the place, but there's a big "Ice cream outlet" sign there.
