Quaint Boutique Hotel
This 40 unit hotel presents an attractive exterior and public lobby space with comfortable seating and period decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. We reserved a deluxe room with a queen bed, TV and private bath. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens and a down comforter. The bath was newly renovated and very clean. The room was very small and had a musty odor which was disappointing for $189 per night. The breakfast cooked to order and nicely prepared. I am not sure I would return to this hotel again.

Wonderful Reminiscence of the Past!
We were delighted by the warmth of both the exterior and the staff (including a beautiful, if somewhat sleepy, black lab!) upon our nightime arrival. The lobby, complete with a host of pictures of yesteryear and antiques, is wonderful! The rooms were quaint and the breakfast was fantastic (the fresh fruit salad and freshly-squeezed orange juice the best!). An all-round excellent value. Would recommend it to anyone!

Don't MIss Out on This Lovely Inn!
We were on a long weekend getaway for our anniversary. I booked this hotel accidentally, really, and discovered a place so lovely we are already telling our many of our friends about it! The Inn is full of history, a warm and welcoming lobby and sitting areas. There is even a music room dedicated to the story of the start of Edna St Vincent Millay's writing career, plus a display all about the filming of Peyton Place in 1957 (filmed in Camden, ME). The bedrooms are quaint with thick down comforters and roomy for an Inn that was built in the mid 1800's. The bathroom, though small, was great, with a claw-foot tub whose shower head was absolutely perfect in pressure! I know that this sounds strange, but both of us agreed! The grounds are immaculately manicured, with a sweeping front porch full of furniture to enjoy the view or one another's company. There is even a lovely water feature in the front yard. All I can say is that, even though it was 110 miles further than I realized once we hit the road, my husband said that I redeemed myself! We were so happy with our experience that we would have stayed there the entire time if we had not already had reservations elsewhere. AND we plan on going up for a renewal of our marriage vows next year...

The restaurant is fabulous! Don't worry about finding a spot in the downtown area. Our breakfast and dinner both were delicious, and the wait staff probably some of the best we've ever had!

Whitehall Inn at Camden Maine
Excellent Inn. The accomodations and service were very good without the hassles that happen at larger facilities. It was very quiet and restfull and enabled us to easily visit local interests. It was definitely the most relaxing place we stayed at in years. We would stay there again and highly recommend it to others.

It was difficult to find a place with good food at moderate prices in this highly tourist area. We discoved "Offshore Restaurant" on Route 1 in Thomaston. The secret was looking for a busy place with all or most number plates in the parking lot from Maine.

A Step Back in Time
Very nice bed and breakfast, with a history dating back to the 19th century. Great location to downtown shopping and historic sites. The only area for improvement would be an upgrade to the bath and shower facilities.

Great all-around place to stay
The people here are very friendly, the location is great, the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on and the bathroom had been recently updated (nice). The complimentary full breakfast was awesome.

Quaint and Charming
The Whitehall Inn provided us with a cozy yet elegant stay. The large foyer provided for an area of rest, relaxation, and entertainment. The dining room is exquisite and intimate. This older inn has seen several generations and its historical quality is one of great interest. The grounds are lovely and surround a large and beautiful verandah where strangers have an opportunity to meet over a glass of wine or drink of their choice. Upon retiring for the night, it is not long before you fall off to sleep in an exquisite and comfortable bed. I definiely will stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a romantic and peaceful stay or something out of the ordinary.

As you may well know, the Whitehall Inn is just minutes from the beautiful port and downtown area of Camden. Ferry excursions are avaiable to a nearby island, a most popular attraction.
