Clean and convenient

We stayed at this hotel once before, and it is clean with a nice continental breakfast. This time we had difficulty with a late check-in (after 11 p.m.), and the person at the desk said that our reservation was cancelled. Since the stay was pre-paid, I said that it couldn't be cancelled. We waited for 10-15 minutes, and she was able to restore our reservation after trying to call her superiors. Other than that, the stay was fine-- very quiet and comfortable.

Clean and comfy!

i selected this hotel after reading reviews on-line. We were visiting friends in the area and basically needed a place to sleep. I was looking for a place that had two beds in the room, and a reasonable rate, but that also looked clean and comfortable. The fact that breakfast was included and there was a pool was an added bonus. The breakfast included a variety of choices and even a make your own waffle station. A friend came and joined us for breakfast. It was nice to be able to sit and relax and have an extra cup of coffee with her. There was also a laundry room which we didn't utilize but could be handy if traveling with children. When we checked in, we were happy to find it was indeed clean, comfortable and that the staff was especially pleasant and eager to make our stay a good one. We were on the second floor in a nice big spacious room. The TV was not a big flat screen, but we never watched it anyway. The room had a fridge and microwave as well as a coffee maker. The rooms on the first floor had exterior patios with tables and chairs. I would definitely stay here again.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Bailey's Island is a short drive away and an absolutely beautiful spot if you have come to see quintessential Maine coastline. They have a one of a kind bridge over to the island that is the only one of it's kind in the world. While there be sure to walk down and see the giants' steps. Bowdoins museums are free and worth a visit. If you like beer and really yummy food you don't want to miss "Lion's Pride" in Brunswick.

Pleasant Stay

Attended funeral of family member. Due to season there were only 2 families in the whole hotel. Stay was very pleasant and staff tried to please. The bar was a wonderful touch to have family come back to relax. Each bottom room has a deck and leads to beautiful grass area and woods. Breakfast was nice and they had many choices. The pool was clean and we liked the waterfall. The building is slightly old and needs a few touch ups but very clean. Unfortunately, found out we paid $25 more making reservations through Orbit. The hotel gave a much better price to another family member who decided to stay with us. Recommend calling hotel first to make reservation. Would we stay there again, definitely.

The hotel needs to improve on their breakfast. The food was stale and not much to offer.

Very nice hotel for the price

We were in Brunswick for my Aunt's wake and funeral. We only needed a place to sleep, but this hotel was very convenient for us. The lounge area was an elegantly decorated area for us to hang out in the morning of the funeral. We will definitely stay here again if we should be in this area.

Would definitely go back

I booked a night there based on customer reviews, and I'm glad I did. We were there on the busiest weekend of the season (Columbus Day weekend), but never felt crowded. The room was spacious & clean. The bathroom could use some updating, but was large, had 2 sinks, and plenty of counter space. My only complaint was that the fan came on with the light, not separately, so that was a bit annoying, especially while trying to get ready in the morning & listening to the news. The breakfast was good, with lots of choices. A bit unorganized as far as its layout, but the staff refilled and cleaned promptly. The location is great. It's close to everything, but secluded. With a parking area in the front only, the rooms on the back have a view of the woods, not asphalt. And those on the lower level have their own wooden deck. We were on the upper level & had big picture windows (one of which opened up), so we had a great view.

Very nice for Brunswick

Arrived late due to heavy holiday traffic. Desk clerk was minimally responsive both giving us directions over the phone, and with dining suggestions when we arrived. However, the room was spacious, immaculate, and tastefully decorated. When I asked for a receipt as we were leaving, the desk clerk told me " that's up to whoever booked your reservation. I can't help you."

Super-special Treat!!!

This was my last stop on a long road trip, and what a wonderful experience it was! I had been driving since shortly after midnight --got to the hotel around 9am, and the desk clerk got me into the room buy about 9:30. I had a great sleep, then went exploring!

Awesome

Its a vacation trip to Maine. It's feeling of awe. It's calm and beautiful. Rafting in maine is very adventurous than in other states. Do not miss it. Should try "Flume Gorge in NH, its 3.5hrs off from Maine.

~.5Miles, is Maine Street. It's the downtown and it has a variety of restaurants. If you are in Maine, you should try "Tim Hortons" coffee. They are awesome.
