Great price. Great area.
Since the price was so reasonable my wife and I were able to attend a show at Bowdoin, the Rockland Lobster Festival and find great shopping in nearby towns. A very nice vacation. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The pool was refreshing. The breakfast area allowed us to talk with other people and find out about events that were happening nearby. Very enjoyable.

Best in Class!
The hotel of course didn't have any of the amenities you'd expect at higher priced establishements. No room service, pool or fitness room. If you are looking for that, you'll have to pay more. I gave them 5 stars because everything I expected at this price point was there. That is a clean and comfortable room that accomodated two people very comfortably. I expect to be in Maine again and will definitely stay at this motel again. Our room even had a nice little refrigerater and a microwave which helps keep the cost of meals down. We did not have the continential breakfast. The office and housekeeping staff were all pleasant.

Clean and comfortable at a good price
Check in was good - the young lady behind the desk (Kelly) was very helpful. This is an older hotel and the room has older furniture but the room was clean which is what matters to us. Breakfast was continental and we thought the selection was good and ample. We were pleased they did not provide a waffle machine! The room had a microwave and fridge but did not have a coffee maker. We made use of the laundry which was a very fair price compared to others we have used on our trip. We would stay there again in the same room for the same price.

The Basics Met
The motel was "fine". It was cost effective, clean and the staff was friendly. Its easy to get too, right off the highway. The included continental breakfast was a pretty good bonus for such a cheap place too. VERY basic though, 4 different cereals, OJ, coffee, and english muffins. Basically you get what you pay for, but here it really is "fine" if you are looking to put your money toward the rest of your time in ME and a place to hang your hat.

great value
Very quiet and plenty of privacy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean for the most part (top of door frames and nooks and crannies could use a touch up). Bedding was clean. Fridge and microwave an excellent bonus for the price. The room wasn't overly small, however, if someone is sitting at the desk, there was not room to walk from the armchair to the rest of the room (bureau, bathroom, etc). Breakfast consists of english muffins, bagels, donut holes, danishes, and breakfast drinks. Some egg beaters and cheese to make egg sandwich would be great!

Just Functional
The Knight's Inn is rustic, old and smelly. I don't think there was a photo on the web, if there had been I might not have chosen the place. The Comfort Inn down the road looks much nicer from the outside. The weekend clerk was spaced-out, to put it politely.

Short drive from hotel
From Brunswick to Freeport is a nice, easy drive down the local road. And Brunswick is a decent place to stay away from the bustle of Freeport. Drive north a bit into the center of Brunswick to an adorable small town with lots of nice businesses and restaurants.
