Needs improvement!

This is a bargain hotel and that description is confirmed when you walk through the door. I am no primadonna but my reason to stay in a hotel is to sleep. It was difficult to do so in this location: the walls/ceilings were too thin allowing sounds from other rooms to be heard, the pillow have been flattened by steamrollers, the sheets have a higher percentage of polyester than its thread count, and one could feel every spring (and hear it too!) within the sagging mattress. Just small improvements are needed: new mattresses and better quality linens and this place would be a bargain hunters dream!

Reasonable price with great staff!

Good value. Right off the highway and easy to get to from Bath, Portland, and Freeport. Continental breakfast was good and the owners/staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Very friendly owners!

This was a one night stopover on our way to another destination. The hotel is a valued-priced wonderful find. Room was clean, owners were warm and friendly, and the bed was comfortable. Even though it is near the highway, we did not hear a thing and slept very well. Keep your eyes peeled for the entrance to the hotel because it comes up very quickly when coming to it from the south. To get to it from the north, stay to your left and take the U-turn, as the hotel is approachable only from one direction.

Simple and clean

This motel is at the beginning of route 1 up the coast of Maine. You will pay much more other places but this one is located at the beginning and makes a great place to stay during your day travels and easy to find on your return trip.

Great walking trails along the water and a very nice walking main street in Brunswick. Excellent restaurants near the water front.
