Glorified Motel
On the plus side, the room was clean, the staff was polite, and the "hotel" is located on a safe, quiet street. The view from the balcony was lovely. That said, this is hardly a "resort" or a "hotel." All rooms at this two-story structure have exterior doors - no halls or elevators. The bathroom windows face the parking lot, and with only blinds as coverings it's easy to see inside especially after dark. The walls are thin and noise is an issue, especially on weekends. The amenities are limited to shampoo, conditioner, coffee, and soap. The bathroom is tiny, with only a stand-up shower stall and not enough space by the sink even to place a cup. The kidney-shaped pool is very small and there's no gym or breakfast nook. The meager breakfast spread is laid out on the office counter. If you go for the location and price, at least get a room with a view. That is the best feature.

Great location
Right on a small lake with canoes and rowboats, and a short walking distance to town I personally call this a great location. The rooms are clean and comfortable but the walls are very thin you can hear the tv sets as well as the snoring! We were lucky because the neighbors were fairly quiet.

A unique experience
Room --small, basic motel, tiny bathroom, exceptionally clean, but with a spacious balcony with a killer view. Each morning you bring your continental breakfast there to enjoy -- heaven!! Located right on the water, use of canoes or rowboats included. We two old folks gave it a try and it was truly fun. Very peaceful and quiet, you can hear the birds sing, family friendly -- but it's a mile and a half to town.

Try Robinson's on Southport Island -- not far from this hotel. It's the local place and very good and very reasonable.

Close to everything, great room & view
Brought my 2 granddaughters 6 & 9 for the Fairy Festival at the Botanical Gardens. The room was very roomy, included microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and coffee. The full size balcony with table and 4 chairs overlooking the pool and beautiful river scenery. In the room also was a small table and couch. Plenty of floor space for the girls to play and spread out. An additional sink outside of the bathroom came in very handy. Quiet, clean, comfortable and adfordable. Located about 1 mile from town and restaurants. A vary of fresh danishes, coffees and teas are set out every morning in the office. Definitely would stay there again and reccommend it! Had a great time!

So many restaurants. 2 of our favorites were Robinsons Wharf, on the cove, casual dining. and McSeagalls in town also casual.

Just Fine for A Night
Although it was a little difficult to find, it is very close to Boothbay Harbor and all its shopping & restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was good. Great to have access to the kayaks and canoes. The rooms look like they were recently done, but they definitely did not put any new insulation between the walls because you could hear EVERYTHING including the neighbor snoring. But, all in all, nice views, peaceful, and well worth the cheap price tag.

Nice place with thin walls
very nice place recently refurbished. Nice view but the walls are rather thin so you can hear everything that your neighbors say. Otherwise a vey nice place.

Fantastic
We left Boston for a WE trip to Maine and stayed 2 nights at the Beachcove hotel. We loved it there. The room was clean and large, with a beautiful view on the lake from the balcony. The weather was a bit chilly and we made good use of the extra blankets and slept soundly until next morning, enjoying the quiet atmosphere. We took our breakfast (nothing spectacular)on the tables by the lake shore, which was lovely. After visiting the area, we came back in the late afternoon and took one of the hotel's boat to explore the little island close to the hotel. Our kids loved it. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding things to do and places to eat. A great stay!

Great price, friendly people
I had a good experience at this hotel. While it is not right in the middle of Boothbay it has a great staff and the grounds are more than ample. They offer free canoe/rafts to guests and every room has a water view. Very quiet place to spend the night.

Perfect place to relax
My sister and I took a trip to Boothbay Harbor, ME for the weekend to take in the foliage and explore a little bit. This hotel was perfect. We had a beautiful view of the lake in back. There were row boats and kayaks for the guests to use, along with a little beach. Wonderful place to go if you want to relax. It's very quiet. The rooms are very simple, but there is so much to see outside that it doesn't even matter. The price was perfect as well. The staff were all very friendly. No complaints!
