Reasonable price, nice location

My husband and I went to Maine in late May. We were very happy with the cleanliness and size of the room. The staff was very polite and helpful in giving us information about local attractions and the national park which is located only a few minutes away. The hotel is in a great location between the Town of Bar Harbor and next to Acadia National Park. Our room had a small balcony area in front which allowed us to sit outside with drinks and snacks in the evening to recount the day. The only negative comment I have is about the laundry facilities. The washing machine didn't work while we were there, but it was a minor blip. Overall, we loved this trip and the hotel!

A very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

We were about a half mile to the center of Bar Harbor. Just the kind of walk that we needed. Loved the king size bed. The room was large, very clean and comfortable. They even allowed us to leave our vehicle in their yard after we checked out for the day. Very nice people.

Bar Harbor - Great loacation!

Fabulous location and great price! About 5 min walking distance to all restaurants and shops on Main St. There is a cafe located directly across the street from the hotel's main building, serves breakfast and lunch. Short drive to Acadia Natl Park and the Visitor Center. We weren't sure what to expect on the level of "quality" but, we were very pleasantly surprised. Our room was located in one of the buildings set apart from the main building, it was spacious, clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We would absolutely stay at this location again!

Rupununi Restaurant - our best meal in town & the "scorned woman" cocktail is a must try, unique and delicious! Also, Galyn's Restaurant - Happy Hour drinks and food menu items. Both locations have great staff!

Great location and friendly staff

Just stayed for one night in Bar Harbor. Wanted to be close to downtown and this hotel was walking distance from shops and restaurants. Friendly staff and room was what we needed. Had a small balcony which was a great plus too!

Acadia NP Getaway

Went with the sole intention of photographing scenics in the park and this location is ideal. Just a short distance from one of the parks entrances and also within walking distance to Bar Harbor and all its restaurants and unique shops. Would definitely stay here again.

Standard Quality

Friendly and helpful staff. Building is not the newest but OK. Good walking distance to center of Bar Harbor. Very good breakfast opportunity at a small place just on the other side of the road.

no wi-fi signal

I chose this hotel based on price and the fact that they actually had rooms available. Several other hotels were sold out due to the leaf peepers. They advertise free wi-fi in every room, but I could get no signal either night I stayed--and I remembered this had happened in the past at this hotel when I stayed on the second floor. They front desk told me to call the support number which I did. They told me to get an Ethernet cable from the hotel but they didn't have one. I was traveling on business so this was very inconvenient. I need to know for real if a hotel has wi-fi. I think you should change this info on the site.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Don't miss eating breakfast or dinner at Cafe This Way. Also a cheap fun evening is having gourmet pizza and a glass of wine while watching a good movie at Reel Pizza. Both are a nice walk or short drive up the road into town.
