Days Inn Bar Harbor

Booked 3 nights; stayed only 1. Room was very small, dated, and nowhere to walk dogs. Do not stay if you have pets. We moved to Oceanside hotel across the street. Had oceanfront room, very nice hotel.

Great location if you want to go to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The breakfast was great! The hotel can be noisy at times especially when people are closing their room doors.

Great location

The hotel could not have been in a better location from where we needed to be in Bar Harbor. The one problem I had was that my bed seemed to be too indented, and the sag on my side of the bed was very pronounced. Other than that, the hotel was great

Our Visit

We booked the suite with 2 double beds and a sofa bed. However, that was not the room we got. Somewhere along the line, it was overbooked, so we had to sleep five adults in 2 double beds. Not so comfortable or accommodating. As far as location the hotel was close to the things we wanted to do. The continental breakfast had a variety of things to eat. Everything with the hotel was fine nothing great, but we didnt expect to stay in the room much. The most dissapointing thing was the room being overbooked [...].

The good and bad

This was a very dated hotel and the outside was all peeling paint and dirty carpet and windows. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and the room smelled musty. All in all not a good hotel, we would never go back.

not a good choice

the room smelled and the carpet felt damp, the paint was peeling off the door, could see light all around the door, had to slam it to get it to close, and the room was very small. I would not stay in this motel again and I feel that [...]should not handle this motel.

Days Inn Bar Harbor

This hotel was sub par. The rooms were old, run down, and had a very musty smell. Not worth the cost.

Do not stay at this hotel

Choose another hotel...This place had a musty smell when we arrrived. We put on the a/c to see if it would help. We left the room and came back several hours later and it still smelled. We discovered black mold growing up the legs of the night table. We immediately checked out and asked for our money back. The staff could have cared less that we had driven over 5 hrs and now had nowhere to stay. It seemed as though they've had this complaint before. I hope no one gets seriously sick from staying there and breathing in that mold. Our credit card was still charged and we did not receive the promised credit until we phoned a week later.

Spend more money and go somewhere else

The door to the outside had a gap in it so large you could see through it. The remote control for the TV didn't work and after they "fixed it" you still had to get up to turn it off and on. The AC never cooled the room off even though it was on high constantly. Not the place to stay.
