cross border shopping stop

clean, comfy...better than I expected for the price. man at desk for check in put me down as someone else with same surname and when I asked him to correct it he said it didn't matter...it does when you need a receipt with your own name on it for expenses. otherwise we were very happy and would stay here again.

Run down and Dirty

The desk staff upon arrival were not friendly and the check in paperwork had some odd address on it. when explained it was not our address, he replied it doesn't matter, your charge card was already charged. The rooms were not clean and duct tape held the door in place. The air conditioner would only run on minimum cool. Breakfast was old donuts and cereal in self serve containers that were dirty and old. The front desk person picked up the breakfast items and put it away in the cupboard for the next day and did not clean the cereal area which was a mess. While out for the day the housekeeper left clean towels but did not make the bed or clean anything. Very disappointing. We were suppose to spend 3 days but left after the second day. Of course they offered no refund for the third day. I would not recommend this hotel. It needs updating and new staff!

Cheap

I come twice a year to shop, it's cheap, a place to lay my head and a hot shower. Definitely needs some upgrades but fine for the amount of time I spend there.

Time Away As A Couple

It is an older Motel., but for the price it is good. It needed some improvements. The breakfast was very poor....not much choice of menu. Should have internet in each room. Had to go to Lobby to get internet.. We would probably go back. The staff is friendly and room was clean.

Pictures are deceiving

Thought the photos represented the best of the budget hotels in the area. Not so much. Walls were crumbling, shower ceiling and walls have mold. Not even a working vending machine on the premises. The housekeeping staff was very polite and would call before arriving. Which is good because they don't even offer a DO NOT DISTURB door-hanger. Too embarrassed to tell anyone where I was staying. No wi-fi - strange in this day & age.

You get what you pay for!

We went for Black Friday shopping and wanted somewhere to stay that was economical as we would not be in the motel much. Positives: Quiet, comfortable bed, lots of towels, continental breakfast was good Negatives: Dirty tub and stain on shower curtain, frig did not work well, There was a huge hole in the blanket, there was a hole under the main door that allowed cold air to blow in.

Not fancy but clean

In Bangor for shopping.Everything needed in the room..Rooms were comfortable .Didn't do the free continental breakfast. Only seemed to be toast and cereal and microwave was dirty.A tractor trailer was parked in front of our door and started up at 4:30 am.Overall,o.k for the price we paid. We're from N.B Canada. I've been to Bangor shopping 7 times this year.Have been to Black Friday once. Crowds and long line ups at the cash register.Sales were not on things we were looking for.Good sales on appliances the weekend before Black Friday
