Super 8 Bangor

Checked in late, left early. Front desk OK, exterior lighting poor, Room OK, noisy hallways, public area felt dirty

wont ever stay there again very rude and inappropreate people

We just wanted a clean inexpensive place to stay for 1 night and this hotel was it. Cleanliness was very important more than price and the reviews were honest. The only negative was the smell of cigarette smoke near the main lobby as we headed down for breakfast. We had a non-smoking room and all rooms in that area were non-smoking so no problem in the room. The train does go by around 7:20 am but it can be heard in the more expensive hotels as well!

Room was clean. Bathroon had blue fixtures but were clean. Breakfast was the usual. For the cost $63 including tax it was not a bad stay.

Upon arrival, they told me I owed more than I was billed for, an extra $9 to be exact. They said I had booked a room for 1 person instead of 2. I distinctly remember checking the correct box, although on my reservation it did say 1 person. I don't know what happened there, it might have been more of an Orbitz error than the hotel. The staff was pleasant about the mix up (because I didn't flip out when they said I owed them more $.) The room was a a smoking room, they were sold out of non, and it was pretty stagnant, but not dirty. The sheets were clean, the bed was comfy and the breakfast was free, along with coffee, tea and hot cocoa 24/7. For $70 in an area where all the hotels seem to be pricey it was worth the stay... I don't dream of going back, nothing special, but cheap and close to town.

My room wasn't clean and I didn't have all the linen that I should have had when I checked in. Throughout my 8 day stay I had one day that my room didn't get clean. I had two days that I didn't have any towels and the front desk did not bring me any after I called for some. the shower curtain was growing mold the day I left. The price is low so I didn't expect service like you get at the Ritz, but I do expect clean rooms and linen throughout my entire stay.

Clean, adequate room. Quick, basic complementary breakfast. Nice staff. Will def stay here again. Didn't see elevator so ask for bottom floor if needed.

Was registered as a senior when I arrived - the hotel wanted to charge me more $! Not very clean, and in very bad shape. Would not stay there again.

We stopped in Bangor on our way to Atlantic City. So just an overnighter. There was nothing disapointing about the accomodations for the price.

My room was ready as I was a late arrival due to flight. Room was clean,bed was comfortable. Nominal noise on a Friday as I was on the second floor in the back. Rate was as quoted with no add-ons. Efficient check-in and check-out. Staff was friendly and courteous.
