Looked like nice place
Arrived with my email confirmation to find the hotel did not have our reservation listed, and were fully booked. The customer service person was very helpful in finding the one and only suite in another hotel within 5 miles. I am unclear why the reservation was not on file, and hope that a bill will not be received for this accommodation as we did not have a room there.

DENIED AMENITY
UPON CHECK IN PRESENTED OUR RESERVATION STATING THAT A BREAKFEAST BUFFET WAS INCLUDED IN THE ROOM DESCRIPTION. MANAGER WOULD NOT EVEN LOOK AT OUR FORM AND INSISTED THAT THE HOTEL POLICY DID NOT ALLOW FOR THIS.RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONEL TREATMENT. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. THEY ARE HAPPY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY WITHOUT PROVIDING ADVERTISED SERVICES.

Hollywood slots
Spartan rooms and Decor. For a supposed modern Cansino. they were very few amenities.

Night at the slots
The room was a little chilly, the thermostat said 75 and it felt like 55. The bed was awesome! It was big, soft and comfy w/ lots of pillows. You have to walk through the casino to get to the breakfast buffet offered at the hotel...

great location and nice new rooms
I enjoyed this hotel - my room was very comfortable and quiet, and the shower was really terrific. There was an iron and ironing board which I always appreciate. The complimentary breakfast was excellent - I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again.

The casino is attached to the hotel which is quite nice. I did not gamble while I was at the hotel, but I did enjoy a walk around the facilities.

Hollywoods Slotes Bangor Maine
We were very very disappointed. We had stayed at this Hotel Hollywood Slots once before and was very happy. This time I book on ORBITZ and was very happy with ORBITZ service. But when i check into the Hotel my husband and I received I room that we did not request. I call the front desk and was told that is what you booked. I knew it was not what we had requeste so I told the women at the desk [...] that I had my paperwork in the car and I would go and get it. When I went in with the paperwork and I was right, I had not order the room she said I had. She continued to argue with us. She told us that do to us booking with ORBITZ she could do what she want with us and give us any room she wanted. The other lady at the desk was trying to help find another room but the nasty girl named Samantha just keep her no you can't do that no you can't do that. It was my parents 52 anniversary and we had taken them 3 and half hours to this Hotel. After 15 minutes we end-up asking for our money back. Which [...] was not going to do for us. My husband and I found a very nice room about 10 minutes down the road called the Hilton Garden in they were very nice and kind to us and we were very happy with our stay. When we went back to Hollywood Slots the next morning to pick my parents [...] was still working at the Front desk. No wonder the staff has no customer service she work at least until 11:00 p.m. and was back again at 7:00 a.m. My husband and I were so very disappointed I think Hollywood Slots should not have [...] work with the public anymore.

Not a good gamble
The attraction at Hollywood Slots is, of course, the slot parlor. But once you lose your money, there's very little else to do. I couldn't believe that, for $148 a night, there wasn't a pool or jacuzzi. The fitness center was adequate, but small. The buffet was typical buffet, nothing special. The entertainment Saturday night was mediocre. All in all, a bad gamble. I'd stay next door for about half the price.
