Last minute flight problems left me stranded in Bangor. Found this hotel and loved it. Slept great, and dinner was right around the corner.

College sport weekend
Under renovations at the time so somewhat confusing atmosphere. We booked online for three- The wife, son and I and we called beforehand to confirm that we would have a cot available for our son. We were told several times that it was;however, when we did not have one in our room by seven that evening we were told that "there is a possiblity that there will be none available." For the price listed I would suggest staying somewhere else. Also, no refrigerator in the room and no ice available in the hotel.

Fairfield Inn Bangor
The rooms were clean and well maintained, comfortable for the most part although a little small. The excersize facilities and pool area amenities were very nice after a long day of flying. Breakfast was ok. Choices were limited to a great deal of bread options but overall good. The location was very easy to access and parking near the front entrance was never an issue. Once inside our rooms we only heard one plane landing so sound insulation was excellent.

Not all it's cracked up to be.
Went up for Christmas with family. Hotel is located very close to the airport. Whomever said you can't hear the planes....wrong! They were plenty loud enough to hear. Ever hear of soundproof glass or sheetrock?? Rooms are small when you need to fit a pack-n-play for a baby, towels are scratchy. The room, however was pretty clean. Next time we stay over by the mall. More expensive, but worth it.

Nice room and hot tub
nice room and hot tub. Restful. Did find cigarette butt in pool. Good breakfast. Can walk to "Ground Round" for dinner. Nice tv channel selection. Close to end of runway at airport but never heard it when in the room.

Great value and friendly service
Bangor International Airport does not get lots of planes, but the hotel is located near the end of a main runway and the take off jet thrust can be easily heard. Facilities are clean, staff very friendly. We spent two weeks at this hotel and would recommend it to friends. Pool, jacuzzi and sauna were very relaxing at the end of the day.

The Ground Round Restaurant is just up the road past the cinemas. Subway sandwiches across the street make for a quick grab for an on the road/sightseeing picnic.

Conference Stay
There is a movie theater next door, very cheap admission. Bring your own pillows. They look great, but flatten too much when you use them.

Hotel review for Bangor 10/1/09
We used the room as just an overnight stay. We flew into Bangor, rented a car at the airport and got up early the next morning to drive into Canada for 9 days. On the return trip back we stayed here as well. Both experiences were great.
