World class in a small Captial
The Senator Inn's location is the best for easy access to both Riverfront and state buildings. The staff was welcoming, friendly and at the same time unobtrusive. The bed is always the most important for my comfort and it met my expectations - firm, plenty of pillows, linens perfectly smooth and the scent was a natural freshness.

Ok....
Was a little disappointed in this stay. Description said room included a mini fridge which is what I need for medications and on arrival there was none. Front desk girl was polite but only offered the solution of using the ice bucket to keep the medicine cold. Cloud 9 was great.

The worst part of the stay was that the staff smoking area was right outside our window and we had the smell of people smoking most of the stay which is the reason for therating of 2 for room comfort. The bed was very comfortable.

Good For one night stay
The hotel was pretty average for a hotel in maine. The room was clean and the staff were helpful. The location is right off of the highway which is helpful. The price was a little high for what you get however it wasn't so bad for a one night stay. Overall not the worst but not the best.

Excellent for business travel
First they spoiled me with several coupons at check-in, including a half-price drink at the lounge. Dinner in the lounge was quite good at a very reasonable cost. The room was a little dated, but very comfortable. The best service came the next morning though. We got over 4 inches of snow overnight and when I went out to my car in the morning the parking lot had already been plowed, the sidewalks shoveled, and a very nice housekeeping staff person had cleaned the snow off of everyone's cars! That is excellent service.

Convenient for business
The decor in the rooms is very dated and the lobby very small, but the lobby staff was excellent, room appeared clean, and waitstaff were excellent. Food was good. Conveniently located. Didn't get a chance to use spa or pool..quick business trip.

Old school comfort
Great location and clean room. bathroom very small and water pressure/shower not that great. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good and great service. Complex has some old charm but could also use new TV's with better reception.
