Good hotel - great location
Conveniently located close to Metro and central Silver Spring. Clean, good shower, nice gym, very pleasant front desk staff. This was a good experience.

No Sheraton Again
This was awful. The first room we were offered had a sofa bed instead of the second bed we reserved. We were so tired that took it anyway and went up to find the room trashed. The bed was unmade, food and bottles were all over the room, towels on the floor in the bathroom. When I went down to tell them this, they were surprised, of course and started looking for another room. When I said we needed two beds, the desk clerk shook her head and said "I don't think we have a room." I said, "Yes you do." She said, "Ok I'll put you on the club floor". This room was at least clean, but hardly what I would call comfortable or quiet. This came with two queen beds but it was part of a suite, so the noise from the room (TV and the voices of people at normal conversation level--we could hear it all) next door flowed freely through the adjoining door. Plus the people of the other side had a dog that barked intermittently--are pets allowed in the hotel? The worst part was the breakfast buffet. Most hotels offer a complimentary buffet, but this was $15 per person! And we didn't even know about the price until they presented us with the bill. Of course we could have asked, but didn't think about it as we sat down to eat. A mention from the staff might have helped, but then I had to wave someone down just to get some coffee at least ten minutes after I sat down. I was ready to go back in the kitchen when he finally appeared. The staff was friendly and polite, but they obviously have to put up with a corporate culture and a lack of concern from above. They do their best with inferior materials. Shertaton = sham.

Exceded expectations!
My wife and I were impressed with this hotel. The parking was effortless and the elevator brought us right to the reception desk. Our first encounter with reception was a welcoming smile and professional response to our arrival. Moments later we were off to our room. The room was immaculate and spacious. Unfortunately we had reserved a king bed and only two doubles were there. We telephoned reception, the lady apologized but no kings were available. She quickly offered us 2 free cocktails in the lounge AND 2 free breakfasts in the hotel restaurant. Moments later she knocked on our door with the coupons and asked if everything else was satisfactory. The bedding was wonderfully comfortable and a large screen TV was also fantastic. Through out our stay, every time we encountered hotel staff, they were wonderful; professional, friendly, engaging and accommodating. I would say this was one of our best experiences at any hotel at any price.....WOW!

Very convenient Downtown location
Family business brought me to Silver Spring for a long weekend. I found the hotel location to be within easy walking distance to the Metro commuting line and to restaurants and movie theaters in the downtown area. The hotel also offers a complimentary, on-demand shuttle service that will drive you anywhere within a 3 mile radius. Although the hotel is located on a major, busy street the room was very quiet. Staff were efficient and very friendly.

Ray's Classic a throw-back to '70s era steak houses. Good hamburgers and great bleu cheese salad. Friendly, attentive bartender. Free parking behind the restaurant.

Nice, but....
Nice hotel. Room was very nice, except walls are super thin. Listened to the neighbors TV from 4am-6am. Was able to hear every word and feel the bass. Front desk just said 'sounds like they need to be reminded to be courteous' When checking in I'd request a room that has no one next door. We wont be staying here again.

Sheraton Silver Spring Hotel
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and very responsive. The parking situation was pretty tricky in that the slots are very narrow but I soon mastered it. I would recommend this hotel to those visiting the DC area.

Very nice, personal service
The hotel staff was wonderful. Although there were a few kinks in checking in, as there appeared to be some communication problems between the booking company and the hotel, the staff was courteous and apologetic. The hotel is modern and clean, and it is located in a great, central location to downtown Silver Spring. Room service left a some to be desired. We requested a "Deluxe Continental Breakfast" of pastries and fruit, and instead received a piece of toast and oily mini muffins (in blueberry - my absolute detested flavor!) that was an hour late, after the time they said breadfast would be delivered. But the front desk agreed to not charge for the sad breakfast, so the customer service came to the rescue again! I would stay here again. I probably will not order room service though.
