Crowne Plaza WASHINGTON DC-SILVER SPRING

The entrance is nondescript and I drove by it first time. The lobby is small and only for check in. There was a line because only 1 person was on duty but it was quick enough. Convenient underground parking w/ elev. to all floors. Room itself was quite nice and well-appointed - granite tops, subway tile shower w/ excellent shower head. The only thing out of sync was the CRT TV but it worked well. I did not use any of the hotel amenities but walked a few blocks to Downtown Silver Spring, where there was a festive street party going on. The price of the superior room was only a few dollars more than a Motel 6. The Capitol is straight down Georgia, although through the hood.

Staff is pleasant. The rooms are small but clean and cozy. Located within 2 blocks of downtown Silver Spring (all the restaurant selections that you may need for any taste). Pool is outdoor so only open during summer months.

The hotel was perfect however the room needed a microwave & refrigerator

I loved this hotel. It was clean, the atmosphere was very "royal" and romantic, even the lighting was perfect in and out of the lobby. The front desk clerks were very professional and kind. However, the parking garage (and the fee to park) was a little confusing to me. And my morning was interrupted three times by housekeeping asking when I was going to check out. That was very rude and invasive, and I felt rushed to leave. For the price though, this hotel was a very sound choice and I plan on staying here again soon.

The accommodations were great at the Silver Spring, MD Crowne Plaza. My only complaint is that someone on my floor was fighting/ arguing and knocking on random doors from about 3:30 AM on both nights while staying at the Crowne Plaza. I called the front desk both nights and it seems that either there was no security or no one came to investigate and rectify the situation. The manager on duty approved for us to have a complimentary lunch on the hotel on Saturday and a complimentary stay in the future, if I decide to stay again. Not sure if I will stay in the future or not at this time.

Very clean room and comfortable bed. They need to up-date their amenities.

Great room and very good value. Staff at front desk and bar were outstanding. Had a carry-out burger and it was perfect. Would definitely go back again!

Incredibly friendly staff. The rooms are excellent with the exception of that the TVs are old and the desk consists of two nested tables that are too high and too narrow. The desk would be really annoying if I had to do any work at length. Other than that, this hotel is hip, clean, has great bathroom soaps/shampoos, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and personable. There was no fridge or microwave in the room. The windows did not open but the A/C work very well and was quiet.

WE HAD A VERY POSITIVE AND REWARDING EXPERIENCE ALL WEEK. WE STAYED 8 NIGHTS AND THE STAFF ALWAYS MADE US FEEL WELCOME AND COULD NOT DO ENOUGH DURING OUR STAY. WE WENT TO THE U.S. OPEN AND THE HOTEL WAS IN A GREAT LOCATION AS FAR AS CLOSE TO THE HIGHWAYS AND HAD A TON OF VERY NICE PLACES TO EAT WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. I WOULD RECOMEND THE CROWN PLAZA AND SILVER SPRINGS WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT.

The hotel is very well located. The rooms are clean and fairly well decorated. The bathrooms have no exhaust fan [which was weird!]. The staff at the hotel more than makes up for any lack. The food at the restaurant is very average. I ate breakfast, the omelette was passable, and the service here was disappointing. Keeping this in mind I would still stay at the Hotel. Just dont eat there! There is great food available just outside!
