The Comfort Inn of Silver Spring is located just north of Washington, D.C. Interior corridor, 127 room hotel offering free high speed wired or wireless internet and deluxe hot breakfast. We are located 4 blocks, a 10 minute walk on East West Highway to the Silver Spring Metro Subway. Scheduled free transportation is available to the Metro Subway/Red Line and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. We are near Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Bethesda Naval Medical Center, National Institute of Health, the University of Maryland, Howard University, Montgomery College, Discovery Communications, Choice Hotels Corporate Headquarters and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration are easily accessible from our location.

do not stay here!

Stayed one night, chose hotel for location, price, availability. In an OK part of town , close to center of silver spring. Parking is a real problem, they charged me 10 dollars( a surprise) and it took 15 minutes to retrieve our car in the am because they blocked it with 6 other cars even though I informed them of the need for an early departure. AC did not work, room smelled like cigarettes and mold.

Decent Hotel Stay

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Parking was inadequate for the hotel, however, there was plenty to be found in the area near the hotel and none we had to pay for. Walking distance to D.C. Clean and quiet, just what we were looking for.

Good, basic hotel, a little pricey

Good location for visiting our daughter in Silver Spring & the sights in DC. 40% pricier than 2 budget hotels across the street (which were either full or badly reviewed) but cheaper than the big hotels in downtown Silver Spring. Continental breakfast was nice. Would stay there again.

DC Weekend Trip

Went to DC to see the sights for a weekend getaway. Hotel discription seemed to be a good fit, however the Hotel description was not accurate. For example... 1. Parking, while free, is not sufficient for the number of rooms/guests we had to park at a meter the first night as free hotel parking was full. 2. There are no restaurants adjacent to the hotel. All are about 3/4 - 1 mile away in Silver Spring. 3. Free breakfast was okay (bagels, cereal, waffles, doughnuts, oatmeal, toast, coffee, juice) but, dining area was extremely small with only 3 tables and 18 chairs. Very tight with the number of guests. 4. The train station is not 4 blocks away actually 0.6 mile away (Mapquest)from the hotel. 5. There are better hotel choices in Silver Spring.
