Dissatisfied Customer
Not worth the money you "save"
First of all, when I originally booked my hotel room [...] said that it would be a total of 60.00$ (including tax) per night. Also, I requested a smoking room. Upon arriving I was told that not only had they failed to reserve a smoking room, but that the room was about $68. This might not seem like a big difference, but I could have stayed in a much nicer hotel (Best Western) for $60.50 and chose the Budget Inn to save money. The room looked like they had tried to update it, a feeble attempt, but the shower and carpet was disgusting. I refused to shower in it, not only because of its condition but due to the condition of the towels as well. They had extremely small towels (im only 120 so its not like i need a big towel) that had obviously been washed without ANY fabric softener. When I called the front desk for new towels, they said that only their office was open (it was only midnight so it wasn't like i was asking at a ridiculous time to ask) and they couldn't accommodate me until the morning. Its a HOTEL! what sort of hotel doesn't have clean towels at night? I had a friend that worked the night shift at a hotel and he used to wash sheets and towels all night long! Needless to say, this was the worst hotel I've ever been to.

Make outside as pretty as you made insid
If you look at the chipping paint on the outside of the doors and other areas revealing the age of this motel you may make a huge mistake of not stepping inside to a meticulously renovated room, however very small. I am thinking about hiring their inside renovator for my own house.

Budget Inn - Salisbury - Beat
This is definately an old, beat hotel. The owners have done their best, with rennovations and by hiring a pleasant desk clerk, but the bones of this place are old and creaky. Definately an old "motor Lodge" presumably built in some kind of old-west theme. That said, the rooms are clean and the rennovations brighten things up. It would be fine for $50, but we paid $90.

Clean, cheap, small. Not bad but not great
For the money, I'm VERY satisfied. Room was very small, but also extremely clean. Recently renovated, fresh paint and fixtures, etc. The interior of the room is nicer than it looks from the outside. The normal drab curtains, boring pictures and carpet... Firm bed, fluffy soft pillows. No bathtub in my unit, stand up shower only- which is ok with me.. Tiny fridge and microwave. If you are just looking for a place to sleep for the night, it'll do fine for a couple.. Probably a bit too small for families. No peep hole or door chain, does have a dead bolt though. Covered entrance to room, can unload straight from the trunk to the room from your parking spot. Beautiful view out the window of your car...

Clean and easy
Outside of the 'golden mile' with all the restaurants and shopping, but the staff person was very nice and knowledgable about the area (I left my directions at home). Room was small with NO closet or clothes hanging area, however it was VERY clean and the bath, although small was clean and updated. Overall, a good value for the money.

Extremely clean
Although the room was very small, it had been recently remodeled and everything was in top shape. No frills, but if you just need a place to stay the night then it fits the bill. Friendly desk clerk. Not an exciting part of town to be in.

Not bad for the price
This is an older hotel but the rooms have all been renovated. The rooms are small but at these low prices you can't be too picky. They have refridgerators and microwaves. The room was clean. If I was travelling alone, the room size wouldn't be a problem but with my wife I don't think I'd want to stay more than one or two nights. I would recommend it.

Small rooms, but clean and cute
Salisbury is located approximately half an hour west of Ocean City. If you are willing to drive, you can find hotels in Salisbury to be much cheaper than hotels in Ocean City, especially if you are only looking to stay for one or two evenings. The room and bathroom were quite small (about the size of an average bedroom), but they are clean. Don't be deceived by the dilapidated exterior - the interior was surprisingly comfortable. It appears the hotel may have undergone recent renovations. I would not recommend these rooms for more than two people. Be prepared to fill out a paper guest card upon check-in (old school).

Large chain restaurants can be found near Salisbury Mall at the intersection of Route 13 and 50 (Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Ruby Tuesdays).
