Americas Best Value Inn Salisbury

The room was crowded with extra furniture as it was being used for storage. Floors were very dirty. Breakfast room had lots of flies. Coffee urns were empty. Overall appearance of neglect. We would not stay there again.

I booked a 2-night stay and left after the first night. If there were any vacancies in town I would have relocated and never unpacked. The check-in time was long. The room was dirty and filled with flies. The bathroom was the worst (shower head rusted, tub floor stained, toilet handle broken). The battery cover for the remote control was missing. I was afraid to touch anything.

This Hotel is not clean its smell really bad , not going back

the staff was very nice food and shopping you can walk to every thing was very nice

We stayed for 3 nights not realizing the dump we were about to encounter. I guess you really do get what you pay for. The towels were filthy (black stains all over them and long black hairs too). The water pressure sucked, a usual 10 minute shower turned into 45 just trying to rinse your hair. Other people were horribly loud and decided it would be fun to knock on our window every night at 3am. There is a bar hooked to the hotel which made it even worse. Overall, it was a place to try and sleep. Not worth the money at all. I think it should be more appropriately priced at about $20 a night.

Upon entry of the hotel, the immediate smell was staleness. Once we checked into our room the CARPET was filthy, DIRTY MIRRORS & the BEDSPREAD had a severe odor. I then inspected the bathroom, & it reeked of urine. Went to the front desk & asked them to have someone clean the bathroom due to the odor. They stated that they would be there immediately, 20 minutes the room phone rang, I picked up the phone and the receiver was filthy w/residual, so I had to hold the phone from my ear and yell my responses to the front desk! Housekeeping had not arrived. A few minutes later – housekeeping did arrive and he sprayed the bathroom & floor w/air freshener!!! He stated that this would kill the odor. Wrong answer! I asked him to leave the room & went back to the front desk & advised as to what their staff had just did & asked AGAIN for someone to come & clean the bathroom. Then 3 staff members did appear & they begin to clean. We left the 3 staff members in the room to go to dinner. We returned 3 hours later, and realized that our door was open!! Not slightly, it was open. Their staff had forgotten to close the door!!! I went to the front desk AGAIN, & advised them that our door had been left OPEN by their staff. They said, of maybe they forgot, & they would speak to the staff. They finally asked, if anything had been taken, BUT I was so shocked, that we had not had time to check. The fact still remained - the door was left open for 3 hours by their staff members!!!!!!!!! That is not acceptable when there were 3 people cleaning one room. I asked for the manager for her business card (I was given the card) & advised that they needed to modify our bill upon check out the next morning. At check out (7 a.m.) I asked the clerk if they had made adjustments to our account – nothing was noted. Advised her as to what had transpired, & even showed the clerk the manager’s card I had spoken to the night before. She looked at the card and advised that I was given a card for another manager that had left the facility 6 months ago!!! I was then given that real managers’ business card & the clerk advised that they would be in around 8 am. When I did return later, the manager stated that she could only give me a 10% discount – cash ($11.25), that was NOT 10% of my bill. I will never, EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR return to this place & I’m telling all of my family & friends. Rank of a “zero”.

Upon arrival the lobby smelled really bad. Waited about 5 minutes for an employee to assist us. One of the room was not ready when we checked in. The bed sheets smelled really bad like no one changed them. My kids walked around in the room with socks on and when I noticed the socks they were black and really nasty. The A/c did not work when told staff about the issue the said they would send someone over when the person came they just brought us a fan. I would never stay there again plus it was 40 minutes away from ocean city which was our destination. The best part was that we had a walmart across the street and a golden corral really close by. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! If I would have paid $60 more I could have staid at the Holiday Inn express right down the street. I'm very disappointed. They had breakfast which was ok I guess.

This is definitely not a wonderful two story hotel. As you walk in you notice the bedspreads have cigarettes burn all over, being this was a non smoking room, I was amazed. Outside our door all night some men played cards and were laughing and noisy until three in the morning. [...]Someone should be sued for even having the doors open for business..

Everything is fine if the price is only about half. This hotel has average 2.5/5 rating, 1.5 to 2 star, but it is charging customer $150 per night. The room has a smell, carper is old, everything is old. Shower works, but very narrow tub. There is a breakfast, but there is no milk, no yogurt, just very few selections. Location is fine, next to Marshall and Ross, however the price is similar to 3 - 4 star hotel. I have a friend who comes with us and booked the hotel following us and was very disappointed after entering the room immediately. I felt very embarrassed that the price is not fair. Please make sure that you service hotels that the price is reasonable

Did not find anything near ocean city on the july 4th weekend so had to pick this place which is about 35mins drive. It was the most economic option available. A typical motel where the staff were pretty courteous. Breakfast was okay. rooms were reasonably clean. My room had no hair dryer, not sure if its totally absent or is it just my room.
