Nice Stay For the Night

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The hotel was out of rooms with one bed, so I had a room with double. This wasn't what I wanted, but it wasn't too big of a deal for me. I could see this as an inconvenience for guests traveling as a couple, so I'd definitely suggest calling the hotel directly (as this site recommends anyway) to ensure room preferences are available. Parking is free in a garage next to the hotel. As other reviewers mention, you do have to put the parking permit in your car. I'd suggest guests park in the parking lot directly in front of the hotel to checkin before parking in the garage to save the hassle of running back & forth to your car. The garage isn't far at all, however. Both the hotel and garage are on the same lot, side by side, so as far as safety, I was not concerned walking to and from my car alone. My room was on the top floor (the seventh) floor. There is a building directly behind the hotel. When I checked-in, the blinds were drawn up and I didn't think much of it. However, as night fell, what I initially mistook for a reflection of my own hotel room, was in fact another room across the street. It's pretty common sense, but since the views into the rooms are so very clear, I'd draw the curtains before dressing. The elevators were working during my visit. The tv in the room did work, but the remote was a little odd in that it only seemed to work sporadically. After turning to a channel would have to wait for what seemed like a full minute before a picture would show. This wasn't really a big deal for me, but I did remember other reviews mention problems with the room television as well. The hotel is in a decent subdivision with many stores and restaurants. This was a great bonus because I am unfamiliar with the Rockville area. I didn't have to travel far for breakfast. A great stay. I'd come here again.

Good for one night

I was drawn to the hotel because of the picture. I had an emergency trip to Maryland for a funeral and it was available. The location is great because it is close to shopping and places to eats. The rooms are very pretty and nicely furnished. My bed wasn't very comfortable and I am use to sleeping on a firm mattress and the pillow smelled of smoke even thought it was a non smoking room. For the cost, it mate my needs.

A good hotel

The room is very clean and comfortable. But you should bring your slippers because they don't offer, and the tooth brush and tooth paste should be taken in the reception.

Take the interstate 270 from the hotel to Washington will be faster because that would less traffic lights.

Perfect for a busy weekend!

This hotel was great! Everything was clean, neat and orderly. The desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The area of Rockville was very nice with shopping centers and delicious restaurants. We stayed for three nights while we met up with friends and went sight-seeing in DC. Traffic and parking in DC is a nightmare, so the close proximity to the metro station made the trip easy, stress-free and so enjoyable. I recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind using public transportation to go into DC or to anyone else who has business in the Rockville area. It was a really enjoyable trip.

If you're planning on doing a lot of sight-seeing in DC, get a day pass at the Metro station for $9. It's good all day for unlimited use.

Excellent Room for the money

The room was spotless. Bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The arrangements were excellent. Location was across the street from the Washington METRO. Many dining options within easy walking distance. Shopping nearby. Excellant value for the money. Best hotel that I have stayed in within the greater DC metro area.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Use the METRO for transportation, The Twinbrook station is across Rockville Pike from the hotel. Less than a 15 minute walk. Leave your car in the parking garage (which is free) and take the METRO into DC.
