Touring Cool Places
Budget friendly, close to metro
We spent two nights at The Legacy for a family trip to tour DC. The hotel is within walking distance to many good restaurants, stores, pharmacies, etc, and less than half a mile from Twinbrook Metro Station. The area is quiet and we felt perfectly safe walking back from the metro station, even after dark (which is rare for hotels that are this inexpensive in DC). The staff was friendly and accomodating, and the room was comfortable and very clean. I will DEFINITELY stay here every time I visit the DC area from now on.

It takes about an hour to get to the National Mall (Smithsonian, memorials, etc.) if you use the metro since you will need to transfer lines, so plan for travel time. The walk to the station is very short, and the time flew by since the subway was a new experience for us.

Fantastic for price
This is a very trendy and modern hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and spacious.

Good Hotel
This is a good hotel and a nice value. It is a little far from Washington DC and takes about 45min to an hour to get to from IAD, however, for the value and service it is a good choice.

convenient and reasonable rates
This hotel was dated and had only one dining toom that was not especially good. There was no internet service in the rooms. However, the rooms were under renovation and should be very nice upon completion. My room was not yet remodeled. There was a good mix of dining options within walking distance.

The Metro is only about 1 block away and a good means of travel into Wasington DC. Also, check out the restaurants in the adjacent shopping areas.

Convenient moderate price
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was quite clean although not too spacious. There is nice shopping in the area less then a five minute drive. Close to Washington which was my destination.

My review of Ramada Rockville
The room was clean. However, the air conditioner does not seem to remove enough hmidity. Therefore, the room was cool but the sheets felt a slightly damp.

Average Hotel within walking distance of the Washington METRO Red Line
The Ramada Rockville is an average hotel with two particular things to recommend it ... the hotel is one block's walking distance from the Washington METRO Red Line, which makes it easy to get to and from the District. The staff was not all that competent, but friendly. The dining options were limited to one in-house restaurant, but there were two small shopping areas with a choice of restaurants within walking distance.

Ride the Metro and Save
The Ramada Inn Rockville was a great value option for our visit to the Washington, DC area. This hotel is located near the end of the Metro's Red Line, just a two block walk from the station. It's about a 30 minute ride out of downtown DC, but you get a huge difference in hotel price and value for that sacrifice. Our room was quite large, and the king bed was deliciously comfortable, especially after long days of walking and sightseeing. The service was excellent- bathroom toiletries were replenished constantly (as were our tea/coffee supplies), and when I told front desk staff that our in-room coffee maker appeared to be malfunctioning it was immediately replaced. I would stay here again for the value, service, and easy access to the Metro.

There is a large Whole Foods supermarket near this hotel- you just need to walk through a parking lot to get there. We thought this was great because we could stop there first thing in the morning and get fresh fruit and muffins/rolls for much cheaper than at a cafe or restaurant.
