Rockville at New Years
Nice hotel. Professional staff but lacked niceness. Price for parking @ $8.00 per day is ridiculous, parking garage is a ways from the hotel lobby so you either have to schlep your luggage from the parking levels you are allowed to use or leave your luggage in the hotel lobby while you park your vehicle and chance no one takes it. Hotel staff made it clear they were not responsible for articles left in the lobby. Directions to and from the parking areas to the lobby is unclear.

Very Convenient
The hotel is just a few blocks from the Metro station, eliminating the hassles of traffic and expensive parking lots. The hotel is quite clean with an energetic staff and an incredibly long list of guest room TV channels.

Great Price...staff could be better
The price was excellent for the quality of the hotel. Very clean and modern. The location is also ideal for those who would like to visit Bethesda or D.C. However, the staff was rude. We were a minute away from the hotel but had some trouble finding it on the map so we called the hotel. They put us on hold and kept us on hold until we found the hotel ourselves and walked inside...still on hold. We confronted the front desk about this and they did not even apologize. They said "that's just how it is." All we wanted was an apology about the hold. Instead the lady at the front desk just looked at us and gave us an attitude.

Overnight Getaway
Nice Value
The hotel decor (even in the midst of renovating) was nice. The staff was average, long wait to check in, room keys didn't work, room was very nice and relaxing! Doors and walls VERY thin. AC unit is very loud...but for the price I paid, those issues were minimal. Enjoyed my stay!

Transition to Holiday Inn
I arrived on the week that they were transitioning from The Legacy to Holiday Inn Express. I was a little confused while looking for the hotel. The hotel is in perfect condition, the room and amenities is what you would expect from a 4 star property. Staff was relatively friendly. I would stay there again.

Touring Cool Places
Budget friendly, close to metro
We spent two nights at The Legacy for a family trip to tour DC. The hotel is within walking distance to many good restaurants, stores, pharmacies, etc, and less than half a mile from Twinbrook Metro Station. The area is quiet and we felt perfectly safe walking back from the metro station, even after dark (which is rare for hotels that are this inexpensive in DC). The staff was friendly and accomodating, and the room was comfortable and very clean. I will DEFINITELY stay here every time I visit the DC area from now on.

It takes about an hour to get to the National Mall (Smithsonian, memorials, etc.) if you use the metro since you will need to transfer lines, so plan for travel time. The walk to the station is very short, and the time flew by since the subway was a new experience for us.
