Overall a good experience, The only downside was a room that never could get quite the right temp, it was either to hot or to ... cold. Also went there expecting good food at the advertised restaurant only to find out it there was no longer a restaurant there despite them still advertising for it.

Best family Resort at the beach

After reading the reviews on ORBITZ we thought we had to give it a try. Everybody on the staff was freindly and helpful. We ... stayed only three days but if we would have known how fantastic the resort was we would have stayed for a week. There is ONLY ONE CHOICE if your going to stay at OC MARYLAND with kids!!!1 FRANCIS SCOTT KEY RESORT!

They run a shuttle to the boardwalk constantly! Come and go as you please and don't spend a penny or have a frustrating time trying to find a parking space.

We booked this hotel last minute and it was the cheapest available for the days we were loking for. We had a great time. It ... is not located by the beach but there is a huge strip mall across the street with a full service supermarket, dollar stores and an outlet mall. The beach was a short drive away. The hotel offered a shuttle but we had a baby and thought it would be too much trouble to bring all of her things in a bus. However, we asked the driver and he said we could bring it all. The rooms were small, only double beds, and a bit dated. But it was so clean we didnt care. Our maid was super nice. We asked for an extra blanket and they brought it in minutes! There were so many activities at the hotel we hardly spent any money. We had a great time and will probably go back every year!

Bring a box of cereal and some milk for breakfast, the hotel breakfast only offers mini-donuts and mini-muffins, milk coffee and bananas. They were delicious but we got tired of eating donuts fro breakfast every day.

The amount of activities there was very impressive. My daughter loved the indoor pool, playground, etc. so much she didn't ... even have to get to the beach to have a great time. The rooms are clean and had everything we needed. Our only complaint was that we were on the first floor (and the floors are wooden) so we heard all the movement upstairs which went on into the wee hours of the night. They do have a noise policy, but our upstair neighbors probably didn't realize that we could hear their banging.

We chose this hotle because of the indoor pool and the outdoor water park area. My daughter absolutely LOVED it. We were ... vacationing in Ocean City for the beach but truth be told we think she had more fun at teh hotel's indoor pool and outdoor pirate water park area. The only disappointing thing was the indoor pool closed early one day due to the rain and thunderstorms however we had no prior notice that the INDOOR POOL would close due to weather. Other than that it was a great place. Also, the rooms were too dark and the tv's are too small but I believe teh hotel is working on these items.

Great place to enjoy with family

We are trying to make this a yearly and also with trying to start a family. I feel that this will be a place that I will come ... back to. There is so much to do for kids and adults. 2 pools, kids spray ground, put put golf, aracade and fitness room, plus much much, including dining and bar for adults. I did feel that the A/c unit and fan could have been running a little quietter, but the beds to make up for that. The location was great, if you don't want to be in the mess of OC Broadwalk then the bayside as lots to offer. Check out Hoopers for all you can eat crabs. Yummy.

More than expected

Arriving at the Francis Scott Key Family Resort, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is indeed a resort style ... establishment complete with onsite activities for children, putt-putt golf, several pools/water play areas, volleyball nets, basketball courts, barbeque/grill and picnic areas, shuttle service, and kitchens in the units. The atmosphere was nice, the staff was cordial and accomodating. My visit, while very short, was an enjoyable one overall. The only area that I observed as in need of improvement was the actual appliances/fixtures in the kitchen and bathroom areas as well as the general furnishings of the rooms as they seemed to be very outdated (possibly around since the days of Francis Scott Key!!!). I'd recommend the resort to others.

Parasailing, jetski rentals, and tour boat rides are just a short distance away from the resort and are located on the same grounds as a large seafood restaurant/crab house.

The Francis Scott Key Resort was well beyond my expectations. Along with being very nice, clean and effecient this resort ... also had so many amenities. There was a wide variety of activities all located a few steps away from the room. The most convenient part was the shuttle that transported you to and from the boardwalk. The staff was very helpful and nice. The room was well designed. There was a nice drying rack and vanity seperate from the shower and toilet. The room was well equipped with utensils, glasses, stove, microwave and refridgerator. Everything was awesome. Oh and my favorite part was the beach volleyball court and fishing pond right outside our room and right next to the pool!

Comfortable and Roomy

The Francis Scott Key Resort is nicely located handy to the beach but we actually chose to stay there on Dover's NASCAR race ... weekend for two reasons: the price was right and we have friends in the OC area. Another reason we chose this hotel was because it houses the Marlin Moon Grille, a fantastic restaurant, and we hosted our OC friends there for dinner. The room was surprisingly big with lots of room to move around. Also the bath and toilet being separate from the sink and mirror was very convenient when getting ready to leave for the day. We would choose the Francis Scott Key again without hesitation.

The beach and boardwalk is a short drive away and just across the highway is a nice shopping center with a variety of places to eat.

The Francis Scott Key Hotel was very family oriented. Had a wonderful indoor pool with slides and fountains. Also had a ... great putt putt course and waterpark for the kids. The people that stayed at the hotel were very friendly and down to earth. Would stay again anytime.

The Francis Scott Key Resort was very accomodating for my family, my children enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pool, as well as ... the putt putt golf and other recreational activities offered right at the resort. The bar next to the outdoor pool was a nice feature for the adults. The rooms were very clean and the staff was more than friendly. The ocean was close and the shuttle was great.

The FSK was a very friendly, curtious and clean motel that my family enjoyed staying in. I do think that the motel is very ... much suited for families with children ages 10 and under. I especially like the shuttle bus to the beach so that we didn't have drive around Ocean City looking for a parking place close to the beach.

The Francis Scott Key Family Resort was beatiful clean, friendly atmosphere very family oriented. Pools and slides, put put ... golfing on the resort.Just a few minutes from the beach, which they offered free transportation for their guest. The resort was surounded by restaurants, shopping ceter very convient to everything. Our family had a great time and would stay their again

The Staff was extremely friendly right down to the housekeeper that came in everyday. The rooms and the surrounding grounds ... were klept very Clean, no trash or anything I was amazed. They have all kinds of things todo with out having to leave the hotel...3 pools for the kids, minigolf, volleyball and basketball courts, playgrounds there was even a fishing pond whch they let the kids fish in!! There was always something going on and it was close to everything. We were about a mile if that for the boardwalk, and were close to all kinds of amenities... honestly we had no hassel getting to and from the ebach, the hotel even provided a shuttle for those who didnt want to drive themselfs. I would go back in heartbeat.. it was really worth the cost. we had a blast and so did the kids.
