Carousel Resort Hotel and Condominiums

The location of the hotel was average. It is off of the boardwalk, but near shopping centers. The room was clean, but there was no heat. We finally had to call the front desk to ask for more blankets and they brought us a space heater instead. We could not connect to the Wi-Fi, and were told that the system is "old" and will be replaced soon. I was disappointed in the staff since it was freezing outside and although they brought a space heater, we still did not get extra blankets. It's pretty bad when you have to sleep with a hat on. The price was very disappointing considering the difficulties that we had. I would only recommend this hotel to a friend during warmer months and if they had no need to connect wirelessly to the Internet.

It was a great weekend. My kids were able to ice skate and go swimming while it was cold out. Staff was nice and plenty of parking. Will be back in the summer.

Really enjoyed the stay. The rooms just need to be touched up some with some fresh paint/trimming, but the cleanliness was great...beds comfy, view was awesome from the fifth floor over looking the beach. ;o) The service/food at both the Resturant and Sports Bar were very good and fairly priced. The Thanksgiving buffet was excellant, wide choice of food from seafood to the main turkey meal and a assorrment of salads was yummy. Great job chef!! ;o) But the one thing that really impressed me was that the hotel was designed and set into motion with kids in mind!! the room could have been cleaner, but the view was spectacular from the ocean front room i rented, the hotel floors only seem to run up to the 4th floor & everything above is a condo or apt. , unusal surprise to find a ice skating rink just beyond the lobby, the pool & gym were great but they need to open the pool before 1pm!!!, also the restaurant closed around 5 pm on sunday, so no room service, but plenty of places to go outside. it was great that the room had a microwave, fridge and coffee maker and the h.d. tv was nice, all in all the price was right and I would stay there again

The hotel was clean but outdated. The staff was great and the ice rink was cool.

Not much has changed since I stayed here 25 years ago, including the rooms. Overall a good value for the location and the amenities, including the indoor heated pool and ice skating rink. Great location, right on the beach. However, avoid the interior rooms - the noise is tremendous in the atrium with the activities that go on through 10:30PM - you'll hear every bit of it.

This hotel has phenomenal amenities and I would recommend it for families over individuals. Make sure you go when the ice show is in session, it was excellent. My family had an absolute blast. There is a great little restaurant with sometimes live music right on the beach. I have two complaints: one, the rooms are very much in need of modernization. The bathroom was way too small and old for a hotel of this caliber, and the "kitchenette" was a beer fridge and a microwave from the time of Julius Caesar. I expect more from this kind of hotel. Two, the breakfast buffet was simply awful. The same restaurant serves quality dinners, so no excuse there. All in all, my family loved it and we had a great time. We will definitely give the carousel strong consideration when next we go to OC

My family and I were pleased with the welcoming presence as we entered the lobby late Friday. The check in was quick and we knew our preferences would be adhered to. The indoor pool, jaccuzzi weight room were all accessible. The beach was beautiful and complimentary beach chairs each day made packing easier. We would definately return to the Carousel Family resort.
