An island in DC
The Aloft was great. I have stayed in them before. always nice. Staff was helpful. and The area that the hotel is in is a little far from the center of DC but had tons of great resturants and everything i needed.

Nando's is only in the DC area and London as of now. and it is great!! I love their food!! better than fast food but not a fancy resturant.

Cute Theme...good "basics" for the bucks
Those who may live in loft-type apartments would be familiar with the room decore/layout. We found the absence of any drawer-space a bit "disorganizing" over our six-nite stay. The platform beds would have been more appreciated if complimented by comfortable mattresses--which they were not (10-12" memory foam units would have been perfect!). Given the layout of National Harbor, nothing was more than a ten-minute stroll from the hotel

Satisfying convention stay
Stayed at the Aloft Washington National Harbor during a convention that took place at the Gaylord. Location is perfect, just around the corner from the Gaylord. The hotel is part of the Aloft chain, running under the W hotels. It's modern, efficient, clean, convenient and accommodating. The staff is kind and helpful. There is free WiFi, Quality automatic coffee machine, fruit and cookies available free at all times. Would be happy to return to this hotel if I have occasion to come to National Harbor again, and recommend it without hesitation.

honeymoon echoes
Romantic
I loved the hotel it was a beautiful romantic place to stay, the staff was friendly and helpful with all our needs. I hope to go back for another visit soon and I would certainly recommend the hotel to my friends and business associates.

Take the time to check out all the shops and dining around the hotel some of the most beautiful restaurants were right next to the hotel.

Me and my husband weekend getaway
The location of this hotel is prime. It is near great shopping and eating places. What I did not like about the hotel was the set up and dirty wash cloths and torn towels. As soon as you walk into the hotel lobby to check in, there is a jazz band and lounge right there which made checking in a yelling experience. The clerk and I kept asking and repeating the same thing. Both days that we were there we had to send back wash cloths to get more stained wash cloths; not happy with that at all. Anyway, we still had fun but will leave that scene (hotel) for the college students or thirty and below crowd.

Rooms large; great beds and good bathrooms; quiet on one side
We had business very near National Harbor, and ALOFT was the cheapest place to stay. It is new; the staff on site were very pleasant and helpful; and the beds and bathrooms were big and clean and in good shape, making the stay comfortable. Parking is $11 extra, but internet everywhere in hotel is free. There were several minor maintenance issues with the room (darkening curtains that did not fully close, vanity lights that did not work), and the rooms that faced the street on one side of the hallway were somewhat noisy. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are several very close by. Overall, a reasonable value, and comfortable if you stay on the right side of the hallway.

Nice hotel
