A Holiday Inn for the price of a Hyatt..
Globe Trotter Nov 29, 2009
The Hilton Garden inn should be renamed to Holiday Inn. I arrived and only one person at the desk and took forever to check ... in. Hilton's reputation was built on service... but on this one. I felt nickle and dimed the duration of my stay.

The hotel room was nice and what I expected. The hotel's resturant was not what I expected from a Hilton. There was a three ... seat bar next to the grill of the resturant that offered no football. If you want something to do in your hotel after business hours, stay somewhere else.

G & M Seafood-The hotel has a shuttle that takes to you right to the restaurant. Amazing crabcakes! Must try!

Best to run off on Yahoo or MapQuest directions to the BWI rental car facility. It's a little tricky - esp. in the dark.

I came for an interview at GW university. The staff was great and I even had a problem with my toilet, but it was fixed in ... 10 minutes of me calling. Size of the room was good and clean. The business center was well prepared for whatever you needed and you were able to eat there or go next door. The pool was smaller then I expected but the fitness center was larger then most.

The location was great, 5mins from the airport so we didn't need to waste anytime driving a great deal, & there were plently ... of restaurants near by. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were average, the bathrooms could have been bigger. Will definatley stay here again, but in an upgraded room-with a bigger bathroom.

I left my watch and a pair of earrings in my room, but thank to their prompt action, they were at home before I got back from ... my trip. We stayed there just for a night for a soccer game and left early next morning, so we didn't have time to explore the hotel. But my room was very clean and quite spacious. I would recommend the hotel to everyone who needs just for a night.

Wonderful hotel!! Loved it!! I have a little one and he NEVER sleeps and yet he was out like a light in their beds & it was ... the best sleep I have had in a long time also. When I arrived I needed to check in early due to my little one and they accommodated me without question. Very helpful and friendly staff. The pool is open til 10 p.m which was wonderful. The fitness center was nice and clean. I didn't have breakfast their but it looked fresh and yummy. What more can I say, Oh yes the bathroom is a nice size and clean, they have pillows of all different textures and the comforters where super soft. They are also a wi-fi hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for you get what you pay for. I will be staying here again when I visit my little bro in Maryland again.

Inner Harbor about a 45 min. drive from hotel, parking will run you anywhere from $10/28 for the day. Some shopping, peddle boats, the aquarium but I was not as impressed as I was with the next two places we went. Annapolis City about a 25/30 min. drive from hotel. Was around a marina, restaurants and shops (Kind of like Newport R.I)(Visit Buddy's restaurant Great Food $$)Parking runs around $10-$15 for the day. If your up for a real drive visit OCEAN CITY it's about a 2 hour drive from the hotel but it's worth the drive. It's a big board walk with a carnival which is larger than most board walks I have been to, great game rooms one, Very clean beach and tons of shops (when you check out the carnival keep walking for the younger kids rides are beyond the big rides by the time we found them my little one fell asleep)It is definitely worth the drive and the little ones will have a BLAST!!! Parking will run you between $10-$20 a day Note they will have signs saying $5 but once you pull in they tell you that is only for 4hrs and that the whole day will cost $10 some place may charge more but this is what it cost me but again it's worth it. A great place eat on the board walk is at Shenanigans! Hope this info helps you!! ;-)
