Least Freindly Hotel Staff
Asked if there was a nearby IHOP. Told no. Fact: There are four of IHOPS within fifteen minutes. Asked if there were Italian resteraunts in town. Told only Olive Garden. Fact: Lots of Italian resteraunts in the area. Loud elevator bell was very disturbing. They forgot to clean one of our rooms and told us it was too late - staff went home. Eventually they did the room. Staff left garbage, did not pick up things that fell on the floor. Shower did not work. Someone came to fix it but made me feel like an idiot because I couldn't figure it out myself. It also appears they charged double for the movies we rented. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The location is great. The staff is a definite problem.

Customer Review of Comfort Suites Laurel
I have stayed in other hotels in this area on different trips over the years, but when I first stayed here three years ago, I was very pleasantly surprised. Now it is the only hotel I stay in when going to the Laurel area.

Great night, great price.
I got to the hotel very late, and the drive was treacherous--just because of where I was headed from + it was raining. The room I got, I believe, was one of the last available, with a large spotlight directly under the window. Even motel curtains had trouble beating that. But, aside from that (for me) minor inconvenience, the room was very comfortable for the price. I was impressed with the plushness of the bedding. I slept deeply, and the Continental breakfast was very satisfactory the next morning. Recommended.

Pleasant, comfortable stay
I just needed a quiet, comfortable place to stay for a few days while in the area (would be spending a lot of time in the room for R&R), and this hotel fit the bill. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff was very friendly. Don't expect the lap of luxury, but it is an excellent value. This hotel was very affordable, and in a great location. There are dozens of restaurants withing walking distance or a very short drive, so you won't run out of dining options. The bed, couch, and even the desk chair were all very comfortable. I spent a significant amount of time in the desk chair, and it was of high quality. I would have very few real complaints on this location, but here are a few things to be aware of. The carpet around the coffee table and hideaway sofa bed was worn, and could stand to be replaced, but it didn't diminish my overall stay. One piece of molding was falling off the room divider, but again, had no effect whatsoever on my stay. Overall, the hotel was quiet, but if it was overly busy, and people would have been running around making a lot of noise in the hallways, you definitely would have heard it. The doors don't mask sound very well. It didn't pose a problem on my trip, but could, depending on the other guests at the hotel. The TV worked well, but it would be nice to see it upgraded to a flat panel (although that's nitpicking for the value of this hotel). There weren't a lot of channels (about 25), but they were, for the most part, the ones I like to watch, and pretty well covered everything I wanted. Overall, this was a good stay, and an excellent overall value for the price.

horrible stay
When we got to the hotel it looked very nice from the outside but when you got inside it was a whole different story. The elevator looked and sounded like it was straight out of the fifties. I did not feel safe riding on it at all. The room was pretty big but the bathroom was smaller then the one I have a home. The television was missing buttons on it and the remote didn't work very well. The shower head was broken so you only got the massaging setting. I was overall dissatisfied with this hotel, which was very surprising because I have stayed at other Comfort Suites and it was wonderful. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not great but not terrible
I was there for business and pleasure. The location was nicer them expected with a lake to stroll around. My biggest complaint was noise. The first nigt people were in the halls yelling and talking. I had to call the front desk twice. The second nigt I could hear conversations in the neighboring rooms so I asked for a quieter room. The staff was kind and helpful and changed my room. However at 2 am when someone arrived in the next suite I could hear the older man talking through the wall even with the air conditioning. So if you are a light sleeper be warned. Sorry for typos new iPhone user :)
