The Garden Inn in Laurel, Maryland is conveniently located between Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. We get a key, but are the rooms bug free

I turned out the lights and TV around midnight, by around 1 AM, I was bitten all over my body by bugs. Changed rooms, took a shower and only got bit once more...not a place to stay if you want sleep.

They let the bed bugs bite...

This was a one night business stay and I found the clerk difficult to communicate with, English is his second language and it was very basic. The room seemed adequate, but there were bed bugs. Was given another room and found it to be somewhat better. Did not get much rest here.

Horrible

This was by far THE worst hotel I've ever stayed in rather it be for business or liesure. There was no remote, no chair, no hangers, a bootleg phone and a dirty bathroom. I was told by the net there woulb be complimentary breakfast and microwave , there of course was none. I will NEVER stay there again.

Dirty Room with free Condoms

I usually read reviews and weed out the ones where people are complaining about service or minor issues. I try to give hotels the benefit of the doubt and be open minded. This property leaves no doubt that it needs a total re-modeling. It is dirty, beds are "short sheeted" and it is most certainly not a business hotel. They do supply a free multi-pack of condoms, maybe that is the type of business they are promoting. The nicest thing was the new clerk at the front desk.

Non smoking room smelled like a bar

The lobby had a filthy carpet, the non smoking room I asked for smelled like a bar and even though it was late, I cancelled and left to find something else. Just did not want to stay there.

Bring a bodyguard!!

The hotel is situated in a rather undesirable area. Lots of questionable characters roaming around, creating an uneasiness about personal safety. Half the hotel is rented out to weekly customers.
