Sleep Inn Grasonville

My husband surprised me with a night away from the kid. This hotel was the mid point between our home and dinner in D.C. The room was horrible from the outdated carpet to the mildew ,soap scum and hard water stains in the bathroom. The water that came out of the shower smelled like raw sewage or rusty pipes. The toilet had a ring and our room had a visible leak that was being covered (poorly I add) by wall paper. The only good part of the whole stay is the amazingly comfortable bed and the great staff who were wonderful with check-in and check-out.

We have stayed here before when visiting family and were pleased. The only disappointment this time was the comfort of the bed. Very hard and uncomfortable. We asked for more pillows to try to be more comfortable, and they gave them to us right away. However, it was in a great location, we used a 15% off coupon, everything was sparkling clean, and they have a continental breakfast. For a basic, no frills stay, I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Just needed a place to stay during work on my house. This was a great choice.

Booked this as a stopping point on a trip. Fit the bill perfectly!

Perfect place for family to stay during our recent power outage. Close proximity to work, pool for the teen, and breakfast included.

The front desk staff was good. The room was clean. I think the hotel is good for the cost you pay for the room.

Things went down hill right from the check-in when the clerk argued with me how I prepaid (thru [...])for the room with my Discover Card. Then after that was settled (not to my satisfaction - but she was not about to be wrong!); we left to go to an awards ceremony and banquet in Baltimore. When we returned and went to bed, doors started slamming around 1:30 and continued most of the night. When we finally gave up on getting sleep, we went to go have the continential breakfast. We opened our door and were greeted by a STRONG smell of "Pot" in the hall. Considering that #1 it is illegal and #2 we were in a non-smoking area, my desire to return to the Sleep In again is no longer a desire. The room it's self was great but when you can't sleep and you have a 6 hour drive the next day, along with the smoking of pot or anything else for that matter in any area where it is non-smoking, is totally unacceptable. Another couple staying there for 2 nights had the same problem with the slamming of doors most of the night, the night before.

We had not visited our daughter in almost a year near Graysonville and now another daughter was flying from Arizona and staying with this same daughter for Christmas. So the wife and I, both retired seniors, needed a motel in or near Graysonville that was clean, comfortable, and provided us an adequate breakfast so we could spend every available hour the next day visiting with them. We recently stayed in seven different motels while driving 2650 miles to and from Texas Cities while visiting our close relatives and none of these were as enjoyable and satisfying as the Graysonville Sleep Inn. The shower stall was clean, large, and had a special adjustment for extra comfort with an easily-adjusted hot-water nozzle. For breakfast, I had fresh dry cereal, two heated boiled eggs, a fresh Bagel with cream cheese, and hot, delicious coffee. The heat pump worked well on a cold winter night and we parked very near our room. This one's a winner folks.

Not much from the outside, but nice inside including a great shower with glass door. Could have used more premium channels in cable. Needed carpet cleaned. Very comfy bed and pillows. Friendly staff.

Only a place to sleep. Pool opens at 10am, too late to use. No individual bed reading lamps.
