Motel 6 Washington DC Gaithersburg

This motel was dirty. I was given a room where the sheets were covered in menstrual blood, & advised to change them myself and given a free night. The bath of the next room had a tub that was covered in long black hairs full of hair dye. I was so tired of fighting that I woke my kids at 4AM and went to another local hotel. This is one Motel 6 that should turn the lights off.

I stayed for 4 nights but could not sleep for 3 because other guests were yelling and banging on doors and stuff at 2-3AM - not the hotel's fault. Room was non-smoking but smelled very strongly of old cigarette butts - to the point where you wonder how it can possibly smell that strong... wouldn't it air out after a while? I spotted 2 bugs that may have been small roaches but I'm not sure. TV was pretty old with somewhat fuzzy/lines cable connection and not many channels - but still watchable. Bathroom was clean, no issues there. Towels were bleach clean. Linens were changed daily and pretty clean. Some old cigarette holes but no biggie. No bedbugs thank goodness. Location was very convenient for me. Very close to train tracks though.

Room Not Clean / Very Bad Smoke odor in a Non Smoking room . Had Holes in Bed cover / Beds very poor quality - hard . Toilet cracked. "" Local Hotel Management should be fired"" . I guess Corporate Motel 6 Management does not care . too bad. Hotel has a good location in Gaithersburg.

Room wasn't ready one hour after published check in time. Clerk said check in time was when he said it was, not as published. Access from road almost impossible when road is busy. No dresser or soft chair in room.

I think it is a little pricy The room was clean and conveniently located though.

I was given a handicap room. My reservation specifically said one adult for a king bed. Cable signal was horrible and pillows were not fluffy at all. I guess I can't complain to much since the rate was fairly low, but still these are basic requirements every hotel should meet regardless.

Simple, Clean, as expected

Attended Table Tennis Training camp The guy at the front desk was disinterested and surly and unfriendly. The lobby door would not open to let us in or out without trying to barge it as the guy pressed the unlock button behind the desk. When I asked him about the pricing, he gave one word answers in such poor English I could not understand him. Room smelled bad as if it was a smoking room before and they could not get the smell out when it was converted to non-smoking. Difficult to get into the parking lot as the entrance to the hotel is shared by a gas station.

the staff was very nice but the room really smelled. so bad that i had a headache all day. from this point on i will never go to motel 6.

I had to pay twice for the room they could not find the payment I made when I booked the room. Because the person that checked me in did not know how to pull it up, nor did he know how to contact you guys. After being treated rudely by the property manager, I got into the room pulled back the covers on one of the beds and found pubic hairs on it and bread crumbs on the other, the tub backed up to where I was standing in dirty water while taking my shower. I had to be to work to early to complain so I just dealt with it, but it is something I will never go through again if means I never using you guys or them again.
