Nice Place .. But Soundproofing Needs Some Help!
We recently stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. We chose a ground floor suite since there are 3 floors at this hotel and no elevators. We loved the suite and grounds .. however that was over shadowed by 2 sets of loud neighbors who were moved in above our "heads"! We asked for a room in a quiet location and had that for 2 nights .. until 2 families with small children were moved in above us. We understand that kids won't be quiet all the time, but we had gymnastics going on until late into the night TWICE. We asked for help from the hotel staff and they really weren't interested in helping until the second family moved in above us and we persisted. We just have no idea why they would put families with small children on the second floor above an older couple TWICE. The hotel was not full by any means .. there were many vacant rooms available. We are in the area a few times per year and won't be returning. It's a shame when there's a nice property run by less than conscientious hotel staff. If someone isn't sensitive to noise, they might find this place just fine. But .. in our case .. we did not.

The facility itself was very nice. There was a workout room, free breakfast and the rooms were spacious. The problem was the bugs in my room. The manager said they were "stink bugs" and there is no way to get rid of them. We were moved to another room on the other side of the hotel and that seemed to solve the problem. We were in the area for 4 days and didn't encounter these critters anywhere else....but the manager continued to say the entire Mid-Atlantic area was infested with them. ????

Could do with quieter doors
I've stayed here quite a few times now and the only reason I wasn't 100% satisfied this time was the doors and other soundproofing issues. The doors along our corridor would bang shut and rattle ours - not too good when you're trying to have an early night. We were on the ground floor and the guests above appeared to be taking part in a sponsored walk. So, other than unfortunate noise issues, all was good.

Perfect for what we needed
It was perfect for traveling as a family. For a reasonable price three generations were able to enjoy each other's company while having some private space as well and no one felt on top of anyone else. A 2 bedroom suite provided 2 bedrooms each with attached bathrooms allowing everyone their own privacy and no lines. The hotel also provided a crib so that mom & dad did not have to share their bed. The pool also looked great, although we did not have an opportunity to use it.

Fly for my Military guy
WE'LL BE BACK!!!
great experience! Room and Beds were VERY comfortable! It was great for us that we could go to the store (around the corner) and cook rather then dining out...saved us a ton!! When we check into our hotel in our next city, we both looked at each other and laughed...almost to tears...wanting to return to the Hilton...the new room was small, double bed..we knew we'd been spoiled!

"Affordable, clean, and great services"
The overall experience of the hotel was great. The only downfall was that someone said rooms were available before check-in time and when I got there, there wasn't anything available, so we had to drive around for about an hour before a room was ready.

Not too bad
Nice place. Probably better for the business traveler, but still not bad for the family. Good breakfast, lots of choices. Parking was tight at times. I would go there again.

Very nice stay
The getleman that checked us in, [...], was very profesional and personalble. We very much enjoyed our stay. The only drawback was the ants in the room. It wasn't unbearable but they were ants just the same.We came to the DC area for the Restoring Honor Rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday. The Hyatt Summerfield Suites in Gaithersburg is in the perfect location for visiting DC without getting too close to the busy traffic of DC. The Metro line "Shady Grove" is only a few minutes away and was very easy to find.Our stay at the Hyatt Summerfield Suites in Gaithersburg places on the top of our list for places to stay while away. Thanks very much for knowing what customer service is all about.Lee Vance
