Comfort Inn at Shady Grove

I enjoyed the experience very much. Any negative aspects were outside of the control of the Hotel, such as: location was a little out of the way and hard to find, restaurants were a little far away. However, the service was very good. No complaints. The business center worked well; printer printed clearly and paper was supplied.

Checkin was flawless, within walking distance to the metro, courtesy van available. Room was clean,beds comfortable. Good experience at reasonable cost

Was there to visit DC, using metro. Hotel's shuttle bus is on-demand, personalized, and great! Location was pretty good, but next-door mini shopping-center was slightly shady; no big problem, just keep an eye out. Hotel's complimentary breakfast was better than average. Pool is a bit small and outdoor, and though weather was hot, a fresh rainstorm chilled the water beyond desire; so, without internal heat, it's hit or miss! Staff was excellent. Room was extremely clean. Extra soap delivered immediately. Overall, very good.

Excellent experience. The staff and amenities was wonderful. Great breakfast. Clean room. Close to highway and restuarants. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is located close to the metro station and close to the Easy Pay toll road. There is ample free parking. They have a good complimentary breakfast, daily. There a good assortment of fruit, pastry, cereal, juices, waffles,eggs and sausage. Also, coffee and tea. Staff refill food as needed. The rooms were large and the bed was very comfortable. There is a small fridge in the room. Also, there is a coat rack on the wall for coats/jackets, as well as, a small closet for hanging clothes. The hotel has 7 floors. There are several places within short walking distance to buy beer, pizza, sandwiches,doughnuts, etc.

I’m speaking as a person who did not have a car, who walked and used public transportation to get around DC Stayed 1 week late October 2011 EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, The Motel is very very nice, in all aspects, clean, good beds, microwave and refrigerator in room, good continental breakfast, free shuttle to and from the metro stop, The Manager, Richard, and the rest of staff were ( I don't want to keep saying excellent but that’s what they were.) The only downside is, there are no decent sit-down restaurants within walking distant, but that can be overlooked because the motel and the staff were so good. 5 STARS PS. rented 2 scooter from Express Mobility in dc the motel mgt let me put them in the room.

There is not much that I can say that is 'bad', since the hotel was above acceptable There is a fantastic breakfast spread, including: Sausage, Eggs, Coffee, Hot Water for tea or hot chocolate, 3 types of cereal, 2 types of milk, 2 types of juices, yogurt, butter and cream cheese for your bagels, english muffins, toast. You can make either blueberry or regular Belgian Waffles. Nice sitting area for family breakfast or take the food back to your room. The only problems I seen were that the 'outdoor' pool is only open during June-August. And I had a difficult time with the remote for the TV in the room. Everything else was great, and I HIGHLY recommend the Comfort Inn!

Hotel was nicely updated, and very clean. Lots of shade to park the car in--Temps in the 90's! Wide variety for Breakfast. No bedbugs!--and we did check for them! Microwave and refrig in room. We felt it was a good stay.
