Motel 6 Frederick-MD-Fort Detrick

First, the lobby was being used and some kind of clothes drive...so I couldn't park near the entrance while it was raining because it had been taken over. There was a dog behind the front desk...no really a DOG! The dog had more personality than the employee. The room smelled like bad room air freshener from the 1960's. The toilet was broken and took 5 flushes to finally get clean water in the bowl. Should I keep going? I am a salesman and I travel a lot, I am pretty tolerant, but this place was terrible. Sleep in your car if you have to. Stay somewhere else!

convenient fairly clean almost always has rooms available and its relatively cheap. Supposedly they have room service available but I have never used.

Great location, just off 15 with easy access to 70 & 270. Lots of close eateries and shopping. Bare bone bacics in room with small fridge and microwave. Our king size bed room wasnt ready yet when we checked in at 6, but got a double bed instead. One bed was comfortable, the other was hard and woke with back aches. Dont get room by stairs or on lower level. Noisy people all night. Will go back for the value.

The room was cheap, available, and clean. no complaints.

The front desk staff was nice. The room was clean. Location is covenient. In general, a good place to stay when you are in the city for a meeting or any other business.

It was an average hotel. Nothing to write home about. A bit overpriced for what it was, if it was $15 cheaper I would have been happier.

We were vacationing in the Harpers Ferry area taking in the beautiful mountains and rich history but this motel was a mistake. Because we were staying a week, they would not provide house keeping or clean towels but once during the stay. There weren't enough towels to start with and then this made it worse. We were guaranteed a first floor room and then were shipped to the second floor. Our trash was not taken out once; we were relegated to taking it out ourselves once a day. The area is beautiful and well worth seeing but stay away from this hotel at all costs!

Motel stay was acceptable, but nothing to write home about. The heater sounded like a ufo taking off every time it turned on and the shower was in dire need of some tlc. Room was pretty clean and bed comfy though.

I liked that I could park right outside of my room. I was also surprised that the room included an iron (with ironing board), and a blow dryer. The TV was average size with a good channel selection, including HBO. I would have liked a coffee pot in the room, the coffee was not available 24 hrs a day like the website says. (after 6am). It was a little loud in the evening with doors slamming etc. But it calmed down after 10pm. I will stay here again when I'm in the area.

It was a combination of business and pleasure. I conducted my business during the day and then visited with some friends. I did ask the front desk clerk if I could have an extra blanket and he told me that I could not obtain a blanket until the next morning. This didn't help me when I was cold that night. Other than that the hotel accomodations were adequate for me. I would stay at Motel 6 again.
