Daughter College Graduation Joy Killer

This hotel was old out dated, dark, dirty and noisy. If I had known that they were going through renovations, I never would have stayed there!!! It was a horrible scary experience. The hotel, in a word, was seedy. 'I will, from this point on, always, check the hotel before ever booking on this sight. It is a matter of safety.as well as comfort. The laundry washing multitasbking ring the bell because I'm doing the sheets, check in clerk was very nice.!!!

Okay

Pleasantly surprised by the room, which had a stovetop and a dishwasher, as well as microwave & refrigerator. The frig, however, did not work (would not make ice, refrigerator was barely cool). I left them a detailed note about defects, however. It was supposed to be a handicap room, yet there were no grab bars in the bathroom. I have bad knees, so it was difficult to get down into the tub. Slept well, enjoyed the LCD tv. I spent some time online, and I truly enjoyed the "table" and office-type chair provided. (table=dining counter). The hotel intake room was under major renovation, including carpet, intake desk, and so on. Staff helpful & nice. My door did not want to close, so I had to be sure to lock it up.

I took advantage of proximity to go to a nearby Sears outlet, where I was able to get a winter coat (parka type) for about $10, among other bargains.

Overnight family stay for a wedding

Room was clean, nice size, comfortable beds, kids had a nice swim in the pool. Staff was some of the friendliest I have ever come across at a hotel, very helpful. Continental breakfast was ok, could be improved.

OK for the Price

Stopping for the night for a place to sleep and get breakfast on the way to the beach. Price was right at about $80 for a Friday night. The room was OK...nice kitchen and utensils (very nice to have with a toddler and pregnant wife). No issues with cleanliness of room. Air conditioner was extremely loud but overall room was OK. Old and outdated but OK. Continental breakfast was good, refilled twice in the hour we were there so we got to eat well before our drive. Pool was nasty. The hot tub was drained and there was a basket of wet towels just sitting on the side so it just seemed unsanitary. Lobby bathroom had no TP. The place served its purpose but I wouldn't stay again.

What a disaster!!

I called the day before to confirm reservation. They had the reservation but in SMOKING rooms(2). They said they couldn't change since they were sold out. My reservations were made almost 2 months earlier. My confirmation said NON-SMOKING. Called next morning to see if we could check in an hour early. I was told they had a problem. One of the suites I'd reserved had a broken bathroom. The maintenance man was not available. They said they were trying to get it fixed. Arrived around 1:35 pm. Neither suite was yet available and the broken bathroom was still broken. They offered us a single queen bed with a rollaway or if we needed it (and we did with 3 adults and 1 teenager), a room with 2 double beds and 1 or 2 rollaway beds but in the hotel next door (Comfort Inn) telling us this would be an upgrade since it was a "better" hotel. We asked if there was a place we could change before we went to the wedding (the reason we were in MD) and they did accomodate us with an empty room for 1 hour. We returned about 8:30 pm asking if the bathroom had been fixed. No. We got the 1 suite (for 5 people, 2 adults, 3 kids) and the room with 2 double beds and a rollaway bed in the hotel next door. This was NOT an upgrade!! We paid for 2 non-smoking, 1 bedroom suites and got 1 SMOKING suite and 1 regular room (with 1 rollaway). Neither the room or the suite had the extra bed made up when we arrived altho we told them we had 4 in one room and 5 in the other. At the Mainstay one "guest" had to go down to the desk to get the "bedroll" of sheets and had to make up the pullout couch themselves. In the other hotel they brought up a rollaway about 1/2 hour after I called but had no pillows and I was told none were available. Unhappy "Guest", Barbara Gray
