Days Inn Elkton was the worst!
First, this place is almost impossible to find, tucked behind a lot of other motels with no high-rise sign. Then it took at least :20 for the desk clerk to assign my sister and I our rooms -- "This computer is slow", "Why won't it let me do that", etc. Our assigned rooms were way in the back, right next to a noisy highway. I came back and asked if we could have one of the countless rooms in the front where there were no cars -- and it was quiet -- and was told that the rooms she had given us were the rooms that were assigned by Orvis(?). I said they weren't reserved thru Orvis, and after verifying my name and address, she read the credit card number she had on file -- and it wasn't mine! Then she checked and said that only one room had been reserved (I reserved two), and to add a room, I would have to pay a higher rate for the second room. Completely exasperated, I gave the room cards for the noisy rooms back and told her to cancel everything, we'd go somewhere else. It took her another five minutes to print out our cancellation letters. This was the worst hotel/motel experience of my life -- :45 of total frustration. My rating: Minus five stars!!!

good location
This room was better than the average room but they really should do something about the spiders,bugs and the condition of the ceiling. Either something fell through the ceiling and it was repaired poorly or something was about to fall through. We had a non-smoking room but the bedspread had burn holes in it.

Great value
The Elkton Days Inn in MD is conveniently located for a visit to U of Delaware -- less than a 10 minute drive -- and much lower priced than motels on the Delaware side of the border. A very basic, no frills motel, but the room was absolutely spotless, which has not been my experience in other motels in the area.

Extremely Satisfied
Just what we needed
Arrive near midnite and quickly got into our room with a parking spot right in front of the room door. We even left the car door open and the desk clerk called to remind us that it was open. Clean, stocked, comfortable.....all that we can ask for in a quick stop over.
