SpringHill Suites by Marriott Columbia

So this hotel cost us about $100, pretty average I'd say (especially for the DC metro area). It was AWESOME. It was modern, comfortable, and the room had tons of amenities. The front desk staff irked me a bit because they made me give them a credit card at check in (even though I'd already paid in full through Orbitz), then they charged that card $20 for "incidentals" and I didn't even know it till I got home last night and looked at my bank account online. I called them and they told me they'd refund it to my card within 5-7 days, and were very unapologetic for not telling me about it sooner. What would I have done if I didn't have a card to give them at check-in, or worse, gave them a card that didn't have any money on it?!? Anyway, back to the awesomeness.... the staff that worked the breakfast area in the ultra-mod lounge in the morning were very accommodating, and they put up with all of us concert-folk (big music festival a couple miles down the road the night before). We go to that venue a couple times a year, and will definitely be staying at this place more often. It has a gas station and a shopping plaza (complete with late-night fast food) right across the street. It was just me, my husband, and my 2 year old daughter in the King-bed suite, but if we had stayed in one of the two-bed suites, we could have EASILY slept 6 people in it (with the pull-out sectional that comes in every room). I'm sure you're probably not supposed to have that many people, but it was definitely doable. Also, there was a freaking indoor pool! 'Nuff said :)

The only negative is that the hot water was out when we got there, however it came back on by evening. Also, internet was out all w/e.

We came in town for a High School competition with 6 teenages. The hotel was more than ready for them, They provided everything we needed as a group. The rooms were great the breakfest was better then any that I have seen for a free set up. The pool and weight room were just right for our needs in the morning. The best part that we liked was we were able to bring our dinner in to the loby and they way it was set up, we were able to enjoy our group in a nice setting and enjoy the company. The only thing that was not perfect in this hotel as the little sleep sofa. All springs and the only way anyone could sleep on it is if they were under 50 pounds.

Hotel was very new, loved free internet access and breakfast. Room had a neat aquatic theme. Would def stay here again!

Had to work the entire time. Did not have an opportunity to explore Baltimore and the surrounding area.

There wasn't much separation between the sleeping area and the "living room". We expected a bit more for a suite. No one could watch tv or keep a light on after others wanted to sleep....just like a regular hotel room! We didn't need more, but were surprised that the kitchenette was just a very small fridge and a microwave. Those were the negatives. But it was a very nice place. Clean and modern. Nice hot breakfast and good location. We would stay there again....just alter our expectations for the "suite".

It was a nice hotel. The design and feel of the hotel was very eclectic in a good way, it had a feel of the 70s but in a modern way. Location was good, right off the highway. Affordable and quiet night.

With the Hotel being slightly off the main parkway, we felt very safe and comfortable. The room was very modern. The breakfast was great, with alot of variety both hot and cold. The pool was small but enough to enjoy a relaxing dip. The shopping centers were just down the street(approx. 4-5 miles).

Iwas whith my family ,really dont like the location, but inside hotel es very nice ,room are awesome, nothing really to see outside .

The hotel was only 8 months old and you could tell from the minute you entered the front door. Very nice design in the lobby and the breakfast was pretty good as well. The rooms were done in an Asian-modern theme with clean straight lines. It was simple, the beds were really comfy, and very spacious. The staff was so awesome (one of them offered us fresh baked cookies as we were leaving for the day; Yum!), friendly, courteous that I would definitely go back when I am in town again. Please keep up the good work!
