Sheraton Columbia Town Center Hotel

We stay here every year over the holidays while we visit relatives in Columbia. The hotel is located across the street from Columbia Mall and adjacent to many great restaurants.It also sits right on a small man-made lake which is great for going out on an early morning run. The down side is the rooms always smell musty to me and the bathrooms are small. Otherwise, it's a solid place to say. Enjoy Clyde's and the Sushi restaurant next to the hotel! The staff is great.

I went to the 18TH Annual Capital Jazz Festival which was held at the Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia MD. I wanted to stay in a hotel that was close to the place the Jazz Festival was being held. Well you couldn't do any better than the Sheraton in Columbia. It is within walking distance of the Merriweather Post Pavillion so I did not have to worry about driving or renting a car. It is located on a tree lined lake so I had a serene and peaceful environment. The rooms were exceptionally clean and beautifully furnished. The service was impeccable. There was a problem with the ice machine being broken on my floor and the floor above me and there was a problem with the toilet in my room continually running. I called the front desk to report my concerns and before I could hang up the phone there was a knock at my door. There was a voice on the other side of the door announcing "Maintenance Man". I opened the door to see a smiling face. He came in tried to fix the toilet but he had to leave for a couple of minutes only to return with a part he needed in order to fix the toilet. Before he left, which he was only there for no more than 15 minutes, there was another knock at my door with a lady announcing herself as "Guerst Services". I again opened the door to a smiling face and a bucket of ice being handed to me. The service was "off the hook" as they say. I have nothing negative to say because I would be lying. There is nothing but positive things to say about my experience. I invite you to try this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

booked a two bed room for the local wine tasting festival. the hotel is right down the street from where the festival was being held so it was a perfect location. upon check in i discovered that my room only had one bed, but when i went back to let the front desk clerk know, he recognized me and took me in front of a short line of other customers and quickly reprogrammed the keycards to a room with two beds. the room was very nice and very clean. the only complaint i would have is if someone was walking by the rooms in the hallway outside talking it would almost sound like they were in the room... that and charging $12.95 to use their wireless internet service. other than that i enjoyed my stay. very close to where i was going for the weekend and walking distance to many restaurants and the local mall.

Quiet and convenient. Here for family event so not much time spent in hotel.

service was good and rooms tasteful and clean but room next door had a after party and TV really loud after midnight until 2 or 3am. Walls were paper thin resulting in no rest for us. Notified the front desk person stated they would check it out and nothing was accomplished except for no sleep for me and my wife

Based on prior stays, I thought the sheraton in columbia would be a great value but this experience was worse than normal. I arrived at the hotel and had to endure the constant noise of construction workers remodeling the building. The restaurant at this hotel is marginal at best. The staff of the restaurant are rude and uninterested however, the food is good. The restaurant has a smell of old carpet but if you sit in the upper circular area you may be ok. This restaurant is good if you want dinner and dont feel like going out to get it but i would not reccommend it for a romantic dinner. clydes, tomato palace and copelands are among the many nice restaurants within walking distance. Over this hotel stay was good enought but i will not choose the sheraton again if i can help it.

The room was very spacious. The area was close to restaurants, shopping mall, hiking trails is around the corner and my kids enjoy the pool.

This hotel was great for shopping, business and socializing as it is in the heart of Columbia, Md. I alway like a vanity separate from the bathroom to facilitate two people getting ready at the same time. the hotel is opposite the lake on the back side and across from a large mall on the side..

The Sheraton Columbia hotel is situated along a nature trail and lake. Off the beeten path and tucked away. The room was solid and quiet. Key card entry at all outside entrances. Ours overlooked the nature trail and woods. Secure and adequate parking close to our unit gave me relief. I liked the seperate vanity area apart from the bathroom. Ample closet space and plenty of stout wood hangers. We had two double beds and they were comfortable. Good window A/C unit gave us comfortable night sleep. I would stay here again.
