Holiday Inn COLUMBIA

I had a short business trip and was looking for a hotel close by and chose this Holiday Inn. Everything was as described online. The room was ready by 2 PM. It was very clean and I found no evidence of bugs. The decor was pleasant. I had a standard, non-smoking room with two double beds. Slept very well on the firm mattress and choice of pillows. The staff was very polite and helpful. I would have preferred a small refrigerator in the room. The room was warm and humid when I arrived but cooled down quickly once I set the thermostat. The heating/cooling unit was very quiet which I really appreciated. The phone by the bed was not working properly but I could use the other on the desk. I also prefer a hard wire ethernet connection for internet usage because of security concerns. But the free wi-fi worked just fine for what I needed on this trip. Over all though, a very nice, quiet stay.

We arrived late and the staff was friendly and quick with service. The room was clean and well maintained, which is what I'd hope the average hotel might provide. The television had more cable channels than I expected, and the bed had four very comfortable pillows. It would be great if they included refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms, but since I was only there one night, it wasn't a great loss. When compared to a lot of other hotels and motels out there, I probably could give this hotel four stars, but that would only be because so many others fall so short of the minimum they should be providing. So, I gave this Holiday Inn a very solid three star rating, and would gladly stay there, again.

Next time I'll read the amenities list more carefully. Having no in-room microwave or fridge was inconvenient. Breakfast was good and staff were nice but with spending an extra bucks for breakfast each morning, I'd have been better off booking at a slightly more expensive hotel with free breakfast and microwave & fridge. It was clean and bug free. Landscaping was gorgeous.

This hotel is my "go to hotel" each time I come in to town. The location is convenient and it is usually quiet and restful. Nothing fancy, but well-accommodating.

We stayed here for a wedding - the rooms were clean, the staff was very accommodating and they even had a lounge/restaurant attached. The reception was in the International room and that was very nice as well!

No problems

The hotel was extremely clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The hotel was centrally located for business or pleasure.My experience at the hotel was very satisfying.

Overnight stay while attending a concert at Merriweather Post. Got good tips on parking for the concert from the desk staff. Non-smoking room was truly without smells of smoking.

Easy to get to and nice staff

My husband and I got married here in 2005 and have been to several weddings here since. The staff is excellent. ALL of the staff from the desk staff to the servers to housekeeping. After several visits to this hotel and dealing with many staff members I can still say this. Rooms and genral areas are always clean and tidy. Beds are very comfy.
