Not a good experience
The hotel is located by the road, and you may hear constant noise. The night we stayed was hot and the AC didn't turn on. We were put in a room in the basement where there was a wall in front of the window, blocked the light from outside.

It's a room
The street side room was quite noisy although that noise was drowned out by the AC/heater fan which definitely moved enough air so that the room never got stuffy. The remote didn't work even though the light said that it was connected to the tv. The room was clean enough and the staff were cordial, probably more willing to listen to questions than anyone else we came in contact with in D.C. Their knowledge of the area left something to be desired, however. The breakfast was adequate but nothing to "write home to Mama about."

clean place to stay overnight
This is a convenient place to stay overnight if you just want to have rest. The building has not been renovated probably in 25 years, but it is clean. You get what you pay for.

No problems. Everything was satisfactory. Check in and check out was smooth. Motel staff was efficient.. I will likely stay there again. In fact I have stayed there three times already.

Alright- not so great
1. Breakfast area is small. 2. Not safe at night although they have a night security sitting in the lobby. 3. Make sure ask the front desk if the room has phone connection. 3. They have plenty of food for breakfast(cereal, cold milk, donuts, bagel, hot sausage). That is nice. 4. Wireless is slow. I was not sure if others were playing on-line games or downloading anything. It was slow all the time. However, internet and parking are free compare to D.C metro hotels. 5. Rooms are small. They have office desk and it was hard to walk around it. Barely not much space. Obviously it is a motel you know. 6. Not many outlets are working. If you have so many gadgets cell, laptop, camera battery charger, better off taking a electric surge protector that has multiple outlets. So that you can plug all your gadgets at night. 7. They have friendly staff though.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
D.C is very short drive. Thats the plus point. Metro rail station is 2 miles near by. Taking train to downtown cost about 9 per day for Round trip. With family of four cost $36.00. It would be cheaper to drive and park in the city for less than five hours parking $15.00 or five more hours it would cost about $20.00. If you can tolerate the city driving, then you can decide better.
