this was my second trip in college park and in the hotel as promised. I had times to visit the University of Maryland and the area around. I really happy about my trip and I definitely will recommend the hotel to my friends.

Good location

The best thing I can say about this hotel is that it has a good location, if you have business at the University of Maryland, College Park. It is right next to the campus. Other than that, there is little to recommend this hotel. The promised Internet access did not work, the walls are paper thin, and the rooms ordinary. To make matters worse if there is a football game going on, the hotels parking lot becomes tailgate central the night before and after, so you won't get any sleep. The management doesn't care and ignores the tumult. Overall you can probably do better elsewhere, there are many hotels in the area.

nice stay

I like the security system, pass code protected. I did not have time to go around and visit special places, but I will come back and will spend more time. I appreciate the calmness of the hotel area although being located near a busy traffic road. I am suggested that the hotel room has refrigerator to limit the guest dependency on hotel staff and for a sense of kind of privacy.

Trip to College Park

The Quality Inn is in a great location for those moving kids into the dorms. The rooms are clean, have easy access, and the parking lot seems secure and well lit. The breakfast is minimal, but acceptable.

Place is a dump

Room is dirty. Chair covers were ripped. Desk was dirty, and not cleaned over night. WiFi doesn't work consistently. The one computer in available in the "business center" doesn't have a printer, so I couldn't print my boarding pass. Sidewalks outside are filthy, and there dead bugs in the room with the ice & vending machines (which is outdoors for the two low-rise buildings). I've stayed here multiple times over the years, but it's become too disgusting even considering its relatively low price and convenient location near the university.

suitable hotel stay

Went to visit a sick Aunt. Also, for my youngest daughter to meet her Great Aunt for the First time. It was also the first time for this daughter to visit D.C. The hotel' shuttle service was Johnny on the Spot. for trips to the D.C. metro system. The simple morning breakfast had our day start out good. The staff was friendly. The room was comfortable. I will return again.

Bring a sound machine

Check in was a breeze. Parking is free. Room was small but I was just looking for a place to sleep. Room was clean. For a relatively inexpensive room, it had everything I was hoping it would have: iron/ironing board, hair dryer, magnifying mirror. Now the bad part: towels were one step up from sand paper and it was noisy. You can hear the college kids yelling as they stumble home from the bars between midnight and 3am. Then you get a few hours of sleep. Around 7 am, the hotel guests start leaving their rooms...slam...slam...talk loudly...slam...talk on phone in hallway. Finally, my "alarm clock" was a 3-year-old girl literally banging against my door while her father reprimanded her. So bring a sound machine and you may be able to drown some of it out.

Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Just exit the hotel and take a left.
