A nice Hotel, but........
all in all a little overpriced. I've stayed at other 4 star and above hotels, and they all had a free breakfast whether continental or full, and a "managers free Happy Hour". I must say that the staff was very personable, but fairly certain I could have found a better value for the dollar at another establishment the area.

Making My Way Home
I've stayed in better.
Didn't like the fact that for how much I paid for the hotel I still had to pay for breakfast and internet (internet is free in lobby but gave up after 15 minutes of trying to make it work before I paid.) Standard internet is about $10 while premium is $12 for a 24-hour period. When I walked into the room the closet door was broken and after a couple nights I found the A/C did no justice. I paid half the price at another hotel and walked into a room with a full refrigerator, dish washer, microwave, and stove top. I expected it to be vice versa. The location was great though. Far enough away from Washington, D.C. tourists but close enough to take about a 20-25 minute metro ride to all the sites. 24-hour parking in the garage beneath the hotel is $12, plus the metro being $7.10 per person round trip, at most, to the Smithsonian stop beats driving and parking downtown. Staff was also very helpful in checking-in early. Overall this hotel was supposed to be the best place for me to stay as I drove across the country but was the worst out of the bunch. The Choice Hotels I stayed at in Indiana, Kansas and Colorado were far superior.

very poor internet connection
To have the Gaul to charge $10 a day for such poor internet connectivity is very poor showing. To call your self a businesses hotel where projects depend on such connectivity is truly unprofessional

The best thing, the location
WiFi rates 9,50$ per day!!! Few amenities in the room. Towels a bed linen were changed only once in 6 days. Self parking costs a minimun 10$ per night. Breakfast with few options and expensive. 40$ for two bagels, coffe and two orange juices, from the room service. You can print for free your boarding card at the front desk.

Very Disappointing!
The hotel looks little like it's pictures online. It needs an extensive remodel. Very outdated.

Terrible!
Garage is inconvenient! Need to go outside to access hotel. "Seedy" entrance and "aged" lobby. Worst part was the party that went on in the adjoining room until a security gaurd finally knocked on their door at 3:30 AM.

Hyatt-Bethesda
In town for one night on business; charged for internet service $9.95 per night or $35 with breakfast thrown in. Both services free at almost every other hotel in the world. Parking was in disgusting, dirty metro lot whose elevators were outside the hotel. Rooms were dirty and small with furniture that made it difficult to get from the bed to the bathroom. Will never choose this hotel for business again. Room rate didn't include all the amenities that are usually free and are necessary for biz travel. I spent another $35 on parking/internet. They didn't talk me into the breakfast package. What a joke.

Don't purchase anything from the gift shop. Go to the nearby Rite Aid or CVS. How does a $5.95 16oz diet coke grab you?
