The Inner Harbor area has just about any type of restaurant you would desire. It also has a number of stores for shopping. They have paddle boats, boat rides and tours. They also have a Great Aquarium. We stopped at the ESPN building and had loads of fun playing all types of sports games. We arrived on Sunday and returned home on Tuesday and that seemed to be just about enough time there.

Great hotel bad service
Roskow Aug 19, 2009
The hotel was spotless and very quiet. Upon check in though we had to wait about 15 min to be helped. No baggage service was ... offered. Our room was very large and super nice. Within an hour of checking in someone called to make sure we had everything we needed. However, when we called the front desk multiple times for a taxi there was no answer. Room service- no answer. The service was not acceptable which is too bad because we loved the hotel.

We were at the Tremont Plaza Hotel for a nice night out on the town, and this hotel was perfect for that. With such a perfect ... location, we were able to have fun at the harbor and come back with just a 10 minute walk to a pristine and spotless room. Everything about the suites was amazing! I have never been to a hotel with such a great atmosphere or comfort level before!

Make sure you ask them to "pre-register" you before you get in there, for an early check in (before 4 pm). We got lucky and got in at 2 pm, but we had pre-registered at 11am.

The hotel was beautiful but, unfortunately the t.v in our room wasn't working. When we called down to the front desk they ... didn't do anything besides send up a new remote for a t.v that wasn't turning on at all! Also, there was no late night food accommodations besides the vending machine which sold stile food :(. Other then that beautiful hotel and great location, walking distance to inner harbor Baltimore.

TREMONT PLAZA HOTEL
AC Aug 3, 2009
I booked a studio suite with two queen size beds. I called two (2) days prior to my reservation to let the hotel know that I ... was arriving much later than 4pm check in and to confirm the room size. Upon arrival, I was given a room key for a one bedroom suite with one (1) bed. NOT what I requested. I went back down to reception desk to let them know about their mistake, only to be advised that there were no rooms left. I requested a manager, met with [...] who was EXCEPTIONAL, because she ended up finding a room reserved for these situations. She even gave complimentary passes for breakfast. Unfortunately, when I went to cash that in on Saturday, TUGS Bar and Grille was jammed (one hostess and one server) and the Cafe is CLOSED on a Saturday (which would have been good to know when we asked the concierge where the Cafe was- he sent us there for no reason). Also, the recommendation for outside restaurants is poor due to lack of choice (and that restaurant was over an hour wait for food.) I have stayed at other hotels, I have booked with Orbitz and other hotels. I overpaid for this hotel. It was older and EXCEPT for [...], the staff needs an overhaul.

Okay, but not as great as the reviews
Sean Jul 27, 2009
I'm not sure why everyone liked it so much! After reading all the great reviews, I decided to stay here instead of the ... Sheraton even though it was a few more blocks from the waterfront. The room was musty, smelly and slightly moldy; and the restaurant was small and did not stand out in any way. The bright spot was the staff - the hotel van driver even dropped me off at my restaurant in Little Italy for free instead of calling me a cab. The fitness center was very adequate and the pool looked nice (even though I didn't go in)

Excellent choice and great value
lilo Jun 20, 2009
My wife and I were on a short vacation to sample Baltimore's crabs and seafood after years of living in Florida. Hotel is ... centrally located and within walking distance of most attractions as well as a variety of public transportation options. We stayed in a studio suite which was very large and clean, with 2 queen size beds, small separate kitchen, comfortable sitting area and bathroom with tub/shower, hair dryer and quality toiletries. Towels were plentiful and new and the beds were excellent, with duvets and choice of pillows. Vehicular access, even for check-in and valet parking, is poor and causes delays. Check-in was efficient and valets were excellent during our stay. The $25 per night valet parking fee is high, but few alternatives exist. Housekeeping was very good, although they neglected to empty waste baskets on two occasions and we had to ask for shampoo which had been forgotten in bathroom. The small refrigerator in the kitchen did not work, which we didn't realize when we put food in, but maintenance took care of the problem quickly. Air conditioning was very quiet and worked well; and exhaust fan in the bathroom would be most welcome. A room service tray with dirty dishes from another room was left in the hall opposite the elevators for almost two days, although housekeeping must have fallen over it many times. Although somewhat older, hotel is very well maintained and clean throughout. Fitness club, pool, locker rooms and guest laundry were spotless. Supervisors and managers always present and extremely helpful
Traveler type: Couples
Valet recommended an excellent grocery store just a block from the hotel which had a great selection of anything and everything one might need, including ready made meals, soups, salads. Hotel has own deli which is also very good, much more expensive and smaller.
