Fun Baltimore getaway

The Royal Sonesta is a nice luxury hotel in a perfect central location. We went for a Valentine's Day getaway and had a great time. The service is wonderful, and the food was good (room service). It's undergoing renovations so the lobby didn't look as good as it usually would, but that was the only negative, and I'm sure the results will be worth it.

Amazing Baltimore experience

I choose to stay at the Royal Sonesta because of it's harbor view rooms. Upon arrival we noticed a sign indicating they were renovating the lobby however there was no sign of construction. The front desk wasn't your typical welcoming station but it was still inviting. The front desk attendant was very nice and welcoming. When we got to our room I was very pleased with the accommodations however there was a banging noise that I had hoped would subside. After about an hour of the noise not stopping I called the front desk and asked if they knew when the noise would cease. They didnt have an answer so they apologised and forwarded me to the manager. The manager wanted to make sure we were fully happy with our stay so he indicated an attendant would come to provide us with a new key card for room accomodations elsewhere. Boy were we surprised when we got to our new room. The manager upgraded our room to a suite and it had two amazing views of the harbor verses the single bay room we had before. The room was amazing and made our stay even better. The suite had a large shower and an enormous soaking tub. It also had a wetbar, executive desk and full sofa. We felt like royalty! The hotel was walking distance to everything (entertainment, dining and shopping). I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Baltimore

Very Nice Place

We dont travel in "high end" hotels very often but we enjoyed our stay here very much. Location was the best for a 3 day weekend in baltimore. Walking distance from nearly everything and no need to worry about parking.

Red Sox getaway

We went with two other couples to watch the Boston Red Sox play Baltimore and enjoy the inner harbor. The location of this hotel was PERFECT. Right across the street from theiiner harbor. Our room overlooked the harbor. It was also an easy walk to Camden Yards ball park for the excitement there. The hotel is an older victorian style and may seem outdated to many but the staff was excellent. very helpful from the doormen to the desk.

Hotel definitely lived up to my expectations. Great staff, location, pool, hot tub, fitness center. Restaurant was a bit pricey, but food was fine. 5 min walk to baseball stadium or to Aquarium. I will stay there again.

Great location, interior a little dated

The Royal Sonesta is located right on the Inner Harbor and is a great place to stay if you're in Baltimore. However, the interior is a little dated and the elevators a little scary with all their creaking and banging.
