... BUT ...

1. Staff did not speak/understand English. 2. NO soap/shampoo/kleenex in room. 3. Bathroom DISGUSTING - worse than 3rd world quality. 4. Flop-house 5. If this is how RedCarpetInn operates, I will NEVER stay at their properties again. 6. Sounded as if there was a family of MICE in the room at night - afraid to turn on light to see what that noise was. (Should have brought my cats for protection!) 7. Not the best neighborhood, BUT Econolodge (right next door) was MUCH more inviting. ORBITZ - PLEASE remove this flop-house from your list of recommended places. Else - set up a 1 night reservation King bed no smoking and see what I mean. (I took photos with my camera phone - as proof)

OMG!!

Well first off. This was in s sketchy part of Baltimore. Its not too far from food and it was only a couple of miles away from the harbor area. The staff couldnt find my reservation when I got there, he disnt speak very good english either. The room wasnt dirty but it wasnt all that great either. One of the beds had a permanent sunken hole in it. blunt wrappers on the ground and the bathroom was disgusting Ive seen better in third world countires. It wasnt noisy, the lamps didnt work, no fridge or microwave. It was a last mminute choice but certainly not the best choice!

Red Carpet Review

I will never use this hotel again. Staff could barely speak english. They could not log into their computer when I arrived to validate my registration through Orbitz which means they could not print out any receipt for me. Bad location. Wireless connection did not work at all. Old decrepid hotel. I wish I could get my money back but I know that it would take and act of congress and raise my blood pressure to the boiling point.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

We planned on staying for just one night. I've stayed in many hotels and this hotel was so disgusting and unsanitary we weren't going to sacrifice our health for a one night stay at this dump. We walked into the bathroom and the ceiling leaked dirty moldy water, the tub was thick with mildew and all kinds of dirt. There was plenty of mysterious hair scattered about the sink area as if someone had just shaved their nether regions and forgot to clean it up. We decided to ask for another room, however, the second room was worse than the first. The first thing we noticed, after the stench of garbage, was the hole punched through the bathroom door, though that was definitely not the worst thing we uncovered. After making a joke that maybe we'd find some used condomns under the bed, we actually looked and, to our disgust, found used condomns beneath the bed. It took us less than a minute to leave the second room, and we weren't about to try for a third. We've been waiting for our refund for about a week now, but the management at the hotel has been very uncooperative and rude, as if they desperately want to keep our measley $50. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

horrible (should be no stars)

This hotel was disgusting, the carpet was dirty and stained, the bath tub was filthy, there appeared to be mold on the wall by the sink, part of the shower stall was broken away from the wall, there was sun flower seed shells on the floor plus what looked like broken crab leg shells behind the fridge. Even though the room was non-smoking there were numerous burn marks on the sink and the sheets and dirty comforter. The security lock was broken and the door was slightly warped and would not close enough to engage the deadbolt. Since the front desk was behind bullet proof glass and there was graffiti carved into the cement on the second level, I was not amused by the lack of security in this room. I have never felt this disgusted about a hotel room, nor have I ever felt as unsafe. We only stayed because we got into town late and were too tired to try to find another room in town. DO NOT go to this hotel, anything would be better than this.

DO NOT STAY HERE

terrible excperiance!!! get what you pay for doesn't even begin to excplain this hotel. upon checking in (after requesting a smoking room) was sent to a non smoking room... saddly enough this was the best of the 6 rooms we were in. all had very poor lighting, some had cieling tiles either missing or falling out, or both, none had security latches attached to the doors (can only imagine that was so the police could enter easier) one room had a toilet that was literally cracked in half, one had a piece of carpet removed, and what looked like blood stains still remaining, one had clothes left in the dresser and drugs left under the bed, all had uncoverd electric outlets some with exposed wires, of the 6 rooms only 1 had a working tv which when turned on was of an xxx rated theme. one had graffiti on the walls.... enough of the rooms, after all that we were furious and it didnt matter where we went to stay it was not going to be there. [...]after being completely disgusted with this hotel and not being able to get a refund we traveled roughly 2 miles farther up the road and stayed in a very clean nice comfortable room at the howard johnson for all of 10 dollars more than the red carpet inn. honestly if you want to live through the night do not stay here. we were scared. if we could give this place zeros instead of 1's bet yourself that we wouldall of that and we were only there for about 30 minutes... the pics given arenot a true representation of what the rooms are, atleast none of the ones we were in... thankfully orbitz is refunding our money but at this point that isnt the biggest issue, our opinion is that this hotel should no be allowed to continue operating.

You get what you pay for.

We came to the Red Carpet Inn because we needed a cheap place to spend the night when we decided to come down to Baltimore a night earlier than we had planned (we had hotel accommodations elsewhere for the rest of our trip, though). The rate was very cheap, but it seems you get what you pay for. Staff person they were very friendly and helpful. We arrived late at night, and the location of the hotel was sketchy: lots of poorly lit parking lots and closed businesses and few or no cars on the road. The outside walk from the office to our room was quiet, but eerily so. The Red Carpet Inn itself isn't in fantastic shape; the place is somewhat run-down and the rooms surround what looks to have formerly been an outdoor swimming pool that is now filled in with dirt and a handful of dead plants. The room was modest but surprisingly spacious, though finding a cockroach in my friend's hair shortly after entering was unsettling; we still haven't determined whether or not it came from the room. Either way, it didn't help us to feel at ease. There was only a dim overhead light for the entire room and a smaller light over a table in the corner. The bathroom had cracks in the wall tiles and a few grunge stains on the sink, but the towel holder seemed brand-new, so it looked as though they were at least making an effort to spruce up the place. The bed was decently comfortable, and the air conditioning was good, so aside from being more than a little uncomfortable with many of the circumstances, I slept well enough. The Red Carpet Inn is only about a 15 minute drive from Baltimore's Inner Harbor, and the route there is very direct and easy. However, unless you absolutely have to be close to the Inner Harbor and you can't find anywhere else to go, I wouldn't recommend staying here until at least a few of those uncomfortable circumstances change.
