Quality Inn Downtown Baltimore, MD
My family and I went to Baltimore to watch the Yankee game and this location was more than ideal. The parking garage is next to the hotel (a bit tricky to get to at first with the split in the one-way street), and the hotel was within walking distance to both the stadium and the Inner Harbor. Very convenient.

Great Value!
Room is on the small side but has everything you want including hair dryer, all toiletries, even a comb and tootbrush; for business people a desk and chair. Very clean and attractive. The staff was very helpful with all our needs. The hotel is located 4 city blocks from Inner Habor in the business center of downtown. At night there is not much activity around the hotel but for over a week we walked back to the hotel without once feeling a bit uncomfortable. We were more than pleased with every aspect of this hotel, especially the value. Unless you are the type that wants luxury from a hotel, I highly recommend it.

Hotel is located 1/2 block to 1 block from bus stops that will take you where you want to go as a tourist. Some buses are free, the purple, orange and green routes. We also took public transportation to Annapolis for a total of $7 for two. It took more time than a car, but much cheaper and worry free.

Quality Inn Downtown Baltimore
I have absolutely NO complaints about this hotel. Staff (although some were not very experienced); all were very customer-oriented and very, very responsive to our needs. Room was clean, bed comfortable, decent furniture, excellent room service & even a free "hot" breakfast. BEST ROOM PRICE IN TOWN! Noisey neighborhood, but its downtown. The only reason it doesn't have 5 stars was there were a few "unstable" street people around outside, but we were able to walk (4-10 blocks) everywhere (just keep moving) & easily get to the waterfront & stadiums w/out ANY problems. A smile is a great ice-breaker, regardless of color, creed, socio-economic class, etc., but I can't vouch for being out walking after midnight. I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially a bargain-hunter in this lousy economy!

Long walk from hotel
The Lexington Market (within walking distance) is a cheap place to eat & grab a beer, but you may be standing while eating. Almost all the customers were African-Americans. My wife & I (yes, we're caucasians) had a really fun afternoon drinking beer, sucking down oysters & smashing steamed crab! Inner Harbor was much more expensive (and pretty) but nowhere near the fun we had w/ the locals at the market.

just what we needed
we went to baltimore for a wedding and wanted a cheap hotel that would allow us to walk to and from the reception. we got exactly that, but it felt like a whole lot more. it was hard to find at first. our gps told us exactly where it was, but the sign was hidden behind trees and we just didnt see it for a while. we also wanted a place that would book our rooms next to our friends, which worked out incredibly well. we had a whole section of hallway to ourselves so we werent bothering anyone. the staff was fantastic. they were always friendly and smiling, ready to answer any questions. my boyfriend ended up needing to fax some papers while we were there and they were kind enough to allow him to use the office fax twice. the rooms were quite small compared to what we were used to but they were comfortable and well decorated. We ended up being walking distance from the water/shops, the power plant live (which was a cool grouping of bars that was fairly popular in the evening) as well as a very delicious selection of restaurants. the only draw back really was parking. they directed us to a garage where we had to pay to park but it ended up only being about $25 for the three days so it wasnt a big deal. we had a fabulous time and would highly recommend staying here.

Not bad
Room was small and the heater was a little loud, but other than that, it was exactly what I needed for the short amount of time I was there.

Very good value
The Quality Inn seems to be the best value in the downtown area. We just stayed one night for an event nearby but I was very pleased with the hotel. We had a room with king bed and the room was rather small but it was newly furnished and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Our friends had a room with 2 doubles and it was a larger room. I didn't have too much interaction with staff but they seemed to be pleasant and helpful. It was a plus that we could walk to Inner Harbor and other places. You do have to park in a parking garage around the corner and it is an additional cost but it was easy and close by. I would definitely recommend for value and convenience.

Definitely must try Obrycki's Crab House for Maryland crab and other local favorites. Everything we had there was delicious...from the Crabby Mary to the soup and crab cakes. They close for the winter so check the website.

Happy in Baltimore
Baltimore Trip
The hotel was wonderful and it was so close to the Inner Harbor of Baltimore that we mostly walked everywhere. The hotel was very clean and neat. The employees were very nice and went out of their way to be helpful. The Continental Breakfast was great. Loved the whole thing! (Except that we had to pay to park in a garage. The hotel does not have parking.)
